hello fellow escapists, i was recently playing my n64 and realised, they don't make consoles like they used to. the n64 is a masterpiece and should be treasured forever. so, what is your favourite retro console?

My Yellow Game Boy colour. Dug that Bad boy out for some Pokemon Yellow and super mario bros. Deluxe action.
Probably the SNES. I used to say that the NES was my favorite, but as I grow older and really look objectively at things I can see that I only truly caught the tail-end of the NES' life cycle since I am only twenty-four and I got my NES in 1990.
Don't get me wrong at all- The NES has some of my favorite games of all time, but I think that the SNES was around the time that games began to become capable of exposition whereas the background plot to games such as Legend of Zelda and Adventure of Link had to be explained in lengthy instruction manuals.

Never owned a console before my PS3. That being said, I have a soft spot for old-school DOS games. Woo for King's Quest, Crystal Caves, Commander Keen, and TIE Fighter!
