The yellow light means its on standby, not off, you probably have to turn it off from the Wii itself rather than the controller (I usually leave mine on standby so the controller backs can charge as I have one of those chargers where you put the Wiimotes in that's powered by the Wii itself)

my PS3 occasionally freezes but nothing serious, i think these problems only occur when the system is in an enclosed space and played for a long period of time. i clock a few hours a day but i think alot of people are on for about 10 hours a day and thats when its likly to die

I went through 4 xbox's, all RROD'd, all warranty repaired. Still on my first PS3, no major complaints so far. *crosses fingers*

My 360's disc tray stops working from time to time and I'm on my fourth hard drive for my PC.

Fuck hardware cock-ups.

If I remember correctly, the blue light on the CD slot means you have a message.

I have one of the last full-size PS3s, and it has never given me any kind of trouble.

My almost-release date PS3 is holding up fine. I've had absolutely no problems to speak of. My housemate's 360 RRoD'd twice, but it got fixed (with remarkably good customer service too). My other housemate's Wii caught fire (it gets lots uf use at parties, where there are drunk people). It wasn't the console's fault, but it did. Thank god for warranty.

My other housemate's custom pc breaks down at least once a month. It is a monster.

My PS3 got the yellow light, but I got a guy to fix it and then traded it in for a new silm version. No problems since.

Nah my Wii keeps dying on me whenever I stick in Smash Bros. for some fucking reason. Only works rarely whenever my mates come over to play and even then I gotta take time with it. Damn thing.

I have had problems with two PS3s. The first gen. PS3 power supply went out after 3 years. Then the next one I bought to replace that one suffered a complete melt down in 6 months so I took both apart and just took out the power supply in the second one I got and put it in the first one I got. Works and I got the backwards compatibility back.

My Wii died. I think the drive is bad. Every time I put a disc in, it makes a loud grinding noise and doesn't recognize any disc, but I still get the start up menu on TV.

My first generation Xbox 360 died suffering from RRoD 2 or 3 years ago (atleast I got to play Gears of War). I didn't bother to replace it till the Halo reach console came out which is cool, just in time for fable 3.

I've had three 360's in two years from Red Rings. My girlfriend had a launch day 360 work for nearly five years until a power surge at our house last week.

I now have a PS3 and all I can say is that it likes crashing when it gets too hot. Apart from that my PS3 is working 98% of the time.

Nope my PS3 (slim) is working fine although it has had a few crashes *cough* borderlands *cough*

My PC on the other hand isn't happy unless something crashes at least once a day.

My 360 after two years only decides to play games when it wants to or it will continue saying "open tray" when there's already a disk inserted. Thats when the disk tray actually opens, it jams from time to time too :<

I never have issues in anything - except random crashes in Just Cause 2 and the usual plethora of fail in Fallout 3 (both PC).

A friend has all 3 consoles. His xbox has never failed neither has his wii. His PS3, however, had the optical drive crap out. Luckily, it was given as a xmas gift and the person who gave it to him added Best Buy's extended warranty. Since they didn't have the model he own in stock he chipped in difference for the next step up.
