Poll: RP ideas

Some of you may know me from the True Battle Arena (RIP), the Mass Effect RP, or the invitational Star Wars RP. I've had a couple ideas for starting an RP of my own, and I want to see what the reaction is to each idea before I start. Whatever the case, the RP most likely won't get started for a couple of weeks, since I have plans for that time span.

Alright how about a RP based off of Drakengard's pact partner, thing and what not?

I've never played Drakengard, and the only two ideas I can think of are in the poll.

I'm not sure yet. I'm tempted to do modern, but after what happened to DCarty's Assassin RP...

Thing is, can you really have an assasination thread without a backstory behind it? I mean, you can't assasinate just for the sake of assasinating, or it would just be a random battle rp. There needs to be a whole world behind it with motovation to back up the assasinating. (corporate sabotage, conflicting states/monarchies/etc...)

Or at least I think so, right?

I'm not sure yet. I'm tempted to do modern, but after what happened to Tsurugi's Assassin RP...

Uh that wasn't mine it was Dcarty's. I have only hosted the zombie one for awhile and the mass effect ones.

What happened with his RP was that everyone went nuts, sniping guards with unsilenced rifles without getting caught, and infiltrating the target building before Dcarty got on again after setting up the backstory. And you have a point, but keep in mind I'm going to be gone for a couple of weeks, and I've made up entire backstories in five minutes.

No problem I just wanted to make sure that my failure was known as the zombie RP not the assassin one too. Dcarty tried but the people in it just wouldn't cooporate and were too eager to start shooting stuff. Then next Darth Mobius made one similar (though it wasn't because of Dcarty's) and his failed because he just didn't have the time to commit to it and no one else knew what they would do with it so it fell to pieces. It would be nice if someone could get one started and keep it going. However there are a lot of RPs at the moment and I would at least like to finish my Mass Effect one before I jump on to too many others. (its the one that demands most of my attention.)

Voted assassin, as for era... far history causes you to be inventive... the 30s on saw a lot of organised crime in America, there could be some very interesting assassination objectives there... governments secretly taking out mob leaders, mob leaders hiring assassins to take out other mob leaders... Leads for some good potential depth with betrayals and trust etc.

Just some thoughts, sorry if I've rambled a bit =D

I think that we should do ancient era like assassins creed, although I may just be being selfish because the reason I don't want you to do a 30's era one is that I tried to start a Mafia RP but people either had too much on their plate or weren't interested, btw

My choices that I'm going to put up are likely going to be ancient Europe, feudal Japan, or modern day.

Well I was very interested in the Mafia RP. The only problem I saw was it being too close to the Cyberpunk Lyncher which is over now. I agree that it should be farther back then the 30s though because you may be getting in too much with the mafia and less assassin. Mafia is better for lyncher than objective.

Well if we are going for Ninjas rather then the Assassin's Creed way of things then I would vote for Japan. Seeing as we aren't at that stage yet I will withhold my vote. This all really depends on what type of assassins (wow a lot Ss) thebobmaster had planned. I am assuming this isn't going to start till he gets back. Well I am hoping since I don't really want to join until I finish off at least one of the RPs I am in.
