Are you like myself? As Shamus Young put it, a hoarder? Are you one of those people that in about any game, want to pick up literally EVERYTHING you see? And eve if not do you have a certain item that you just MUST collect? Like me, on fallout 3 I collect everything I see, even the pencils, then dump them. But on certain games I collect like 1 certain item. Such as In Deus Ex I collect nothing but cigarettes or 40's depending on what I want during the playthrough.

I don't even know why, but I just enjoy hoarding the little things. Fallout 3, I collected Metro Tickets, among other things.

Too many times I have gotten to the end of a game with an invetory packed full of health/mana potions, spare armour, weapons and miscellaneous books. Nearly all of these items would have helped me get past a boss that I got stuck on for awhile but I can't help but preserve the order of my inventory.

I'll sell anything worth selling...

Least till I have a nice bank roll then I don't horde so much.

God, I tend to keep everything I find. Key to a chest that I opened and cant possibly have further use for? Keep it. Hell, in Oblivion I was picking up all the bones off the floor on the off chance I decided to use them. I had to buy a house rather early on to store all the bones I was finding. Talk about skeletons in your closet.

I also seam to hoard mana/health potions. I always tell myself "Dont use that potion, you may need it later." So i tough the battle out without the potion, then by endgame I have tons and tons.

This happens all the time with me, not because I like the order, but because i might need the items later. Hell if the games tells me there are only so many of X item and you can't but it, I almost never use it, I would rather restart then needing to use it later.

I sell everything and anything to make as much money as possible and suck every last penny from all the vendors. Which usually I don't end up using because I go by the rule "Whatever the shops are selling is most likely vastly inferior to what you will find on your quest". Not to ention the 5 or 6 different weapons and 3 different armour types I was carrying around in Oblivion...so yeah...

I usually take 1 of each useful item(weapons, armor, etc.), then put it in a drawer/cabinet according to its purpose. Weapons in one, armor in another, ammo in another.

I have a friend that collected skulls in Oblivion. He dumped them all in a small shack and crashed the PS3. He finally managed to drop them all, and it was like he was swimming in skull.

When I first started playing Fallout 3, I horded EVERYTHING. I stole everything in Metaton that wasn't nailed down, every plate, every fork, every cup. After a while, I just had to start ignoring things that were less important, because it's annoying to only be able to move at a pace of 10 feet an hour when you're overburdened.

It breaks my heart every time I have to leave a hunting rifle behind after I kill a raider, just because I don't have enough room for it on my person.
I had the same experience with Fallout 3, and one day (being bored) I managed to figure out that I had about 200 000 caps worth of stuff. In F:NV it's going to be much more difficult though because in hardcore mode ammo has weight.

This reminds me of a certain Zero Punctuation where Yahtzee talked about the exact thing you two are talking about. I think it's a form of paranoia.

At the start of games like oblivion and morrowind my character is packed full of useless crap like plates and utensils and other things, just because they sell for 1 gold each and I really want gold.

I'll strip someones house as absolutely bare as it can get.
