Poll: Running to Friends

I decided to walk to my friends house, its not that far (Only a 10-15 minute walk) The only bad thing is that I have to run across the street and the fact that there are cars that drive through, but I'm not stupid. I'll wait for them to stop at the red light and then walk pass.

The bad thing is that my parents get extremely pissed at this since I have to walk pretty far and cars pass the street. This is the only way I get to hangout with her so I do it since no one can drive me. Should I be allowed to do this?

This thread reminded me of the time a friend of mine ran 13km cross country to visit another friend. I still don't know why he did that.

On topic, you sound like you have your head screwed on the right way so i don't see why not. But i suppose its another matter entirely to you parents.

According to your profile, you're 14. You can walk across a city at night and it wouldn't be considered unusual.

Yeah it is perfectly fine. I do the same thing as you. 15 minute walk and crossing one road save that I don't use lights to walk across. Perfectly safe.
