Even with blanks loaded the force from a gunshot can kill you if it's close enough to your head.Taluien said:You know, with modifications, you could do that:Omikron009 said:I wouldn't do it.
I read a Darwin Award once about a guy who tried playing Russian Roulette with a semiautomatic pistol. Guess how that ended?
The players deliver one shot at each other, the magazine is loaded by someone else beforehand with blanks and one real bullet that get mixed before the loading... then you could play Russian Roulette with a semi.
OT: Hmm... probably yes. Maybe I would throw in a "If I wind up dead, my family gets 100 million" or something like that just to make sure... but as of now, seeing that I'm single and would leave noone behind I have to care about... yes I'd do it.
Hmmmm... blanks, you say? You do realise that blanks are just as dangerous as real bullets at close range? You know the illusionist Derren Brown, when he did his Russian Roulette stunt a few years ago? On the TV special where he played it, live, during the bit where it was telling you about all the preparation and stuff he did, it had the armourer along with Derren and the people who were competing for the chance to load the bullet and watch the game live. The armourer showed them how using a blank bullet instead of a real one to trick the audience watching at home would be a complete waste of time. He loaded a blank into a revolver and shot a plastic bottle from close range. The top of the bottle was blown off and there were perfect entry/exit holes on each side of the bottle.Taluien said:You know, with modifications, you could do that:Omikron009 said:I wouldn't do it.

Does he simply spin it, and allow the cylinders to rotate freely? If yes, then I am on that Russian Roulette so hard.BoogieManFL said:*snip*
No that is true. Gravity + centrifugal force ensure that in a well-maintained revolver ensure that the bullet will almost never remain in the top chamber.MrJKapowey said:Wasn't the point of Russian Roulette that when it was originally played, the revolvers used would never fire the loaded bullet. I read somewhere that if only one bullet was loaded then it wouldn't be able to push it to the top and keep it there as when it reached 9 o'clock it would keep moving. Think that's probably BS tho...
I say yes, if I can look at the gun for ten seconds before hand.
