If you're going to use a cheat code you might as well get someone else to play it for you while you watch.

I'll refer to walkthroughs on occasion. Usually I try to stick it out as much as possible though.

I unexpectedly got into Advance Wars: Duel Strike on the DS, and I'm on one of the later (last?) mission where I have to get to rocket sites before the enemy... Whatever I try just doesn't work... grahhhhhhhhhghh!

Dude, he was nailed to a cross, I can't see much 'get out' in that situation... How you do pry the nails out? With your teeth? ;)

I try to go as long as possible without using any advice but if I just can't figure something out, puzzle wise. Then I'll use a walkthrough. But if it's just difficulty, like I can't clear a level type thing, then I'll just force my way through

Walkthrough? Yes.

Cheat? No.

I only use cheats after i've completed a game just to have a bit of extra fun, walkthroughs I wouldn't consider as cheating unless you're using it throughout the entire game in which I would just ask you why you bothered buying the game.

Oh and with me using walkthroughs I only use them if i've tried tons of times and am well and truly stumped.

He's Jesus, he could have activated the 'Messiah' cheat.

You just gotta do the impossible bro.
This is pretty much what I do.
I often overshoot where I am looking for in Walkthroughs (Yes, I know the search button exists) which often spoils the story and I don't really like cheating as they can disable trophies/achievements and if I'm resorting to cheats then there will still be worse things to come later on so I better get skilled for it. Unless it's a final boss but even then, I've gotten this far without cheats so I'm not gonna start using them now.

Cursus - I forgot about the 'messiah' cheat! Having said that he respawned and use noclip to escape the tomb... If that ain't cheating what is!

(Yes I know he supposedly rolled the rock away but that still would involve either a gravity gun or god mode)

I get angry at it. Stop let it bug me for a few days to finish it. Use a Walkthrough try some more then cheat. You know the usual thing.

I owe about 60% of my achievements and game completetion from my friends. We usually get simular games and help each other out, like in LIMBO as a recent example. But seeing as I play a lot of free roamers like Assassin's Creed 2, who's to blame me for not using Gamefaqs. I mean how many people have actually found all of the flags/pigeons/feathers/CDs etc etc

For Bioshock, I really liked the game so I wanted to complete it 100% and for the task to collect all audio diaries I just looked up the locations.

If a game is just kicking my ass, I'll just keep trying.

The ONE and I mean ONE place that I have never been able to get past is the mother fucking Ferris wheel on CoD 4 on Veteran. None of the walkthroughs worked for me, so I just gave up. (I need to buy that game again...)

You are a fucking MAN. YOU WILL BEAT THAT GAME'S ASS INTO SUBMISSION.

What I mean is, I usually suck it up.

If that doesn't work, godmode.

Depends on the game. I played through fallout 3 and oblivion legitimately but on later visits, I'd often make use of the movetoqt console command to speed the process of moving around, or the coc command if I didn't want to comb the world for a new mod item.

Both, but only if the part of the game is bullshit beyond comprehension. (I'm looking at YOU, Riven waffle-iron puzzle . . .)
