Samuel L. Jackson, to me, falls into the same category with other actors such as Nicholas Cage, Christopher Walken, Bruce Campbell, etc. The quality of the movies they're in vary wildly but they're always fun to watch regardless. So yeah.

I cannot stand SLJ. Largely this is because of all the fanboys out there.
He is not a good actor.
The majority of films he is in are terrible.
He's a jerk in real life and very egotistical.
People seem to give him roles simply because "He is Samuel L. Jackson".
The one thing I do like about him is how he extorted Marvel.

They had been using his likeness for years as the Ultimate Nick Fury, on purpose. In the comics they even go as far as to saying that he resembled him. So when they cast him in Iron Man 1, he just waited and bided his time. Then when they announced the Avengers movie and had pretty much ensured that no other actor could play him, he demanded to be the highest paid actor in the film, and I'm pretty sure he got his wish.

Take that idiots at Marvel.
