The subject explains it all. Which game should I buy? I played the demo of Scott Pilgrim, and I

played Castle Crashers for an hour over a friend's house. Both seem great, but what new features

are going to be on Castle Crashers when it comes out for the PS3? Are the games worth the money?

How fun is it to play with friends? Are there any other multiplayer games that you think are

better than either of them?

CC has online and loads of charicters to play but SP is also really good.
It would depent if you want to play with friends or not.
*Note: SP is a bit hard solo.

Whatever, just wash your hands.
cc probably has more content and is a bit better balanced but I absolutely love the art and music style of scott

SP has more content art-wise, and is a must if you're a SP fan. It plays a lot like River City Ransom in terms of the way the game handles stat increases (beating up enemies nets cash you spend on stat-upping items.)

CC however is more difficult and has more re-playability, as well as some interesting mini-games. It handles more like a Japanese RPG (you find new weapons and pets you equip which increase stats/have various effects) and each time you level up you get stat points you can spend on various aspects of your character.

It's a toss-up.

Castle Crashers has too much content, and getting a significant amount of it takes more time than you'd think. It's kind of too long for a beat-em-up, and it doesn't look good on a low-res screen.

Castle Crashers all the way. I am a big fan of Scott Pilgrim, and the game is great, but I had loads more fun playing CC. To be honest, I was hoping for a bit more from SP.

They both have their merits - I really couldn't suggest either one over the other. At least, I couldn't do so in a way that hasn't already been done. CC has good design and replayability (in addition to multiplayer), but SP has a lot of spirit, more consistent humor, and a bonus to fans of the comics (or the movie) as well as fans of old-school beat-em-ups, so I figure it's really more a matter of moment-to-moment preferences. I'd get both, if I could.

Haha, does anyone know how much cc is gonna cost when it comes out? I know Scott Pilgrim costs $9.99. Also, does SP not have online multiplayer? (I just want to confirm). Right now I'm leaning toward Castle Crashers, since I haven't read the comics (long waitlist at the library), and I haven't seen the movie.

I'd get Castle Crashers if i had the chance. I'm a massive fan of the developers and it seems like it has much more content :D

I can tell you this, Castle Crashers gives you more than enough bang for your buck.
There are tons of characters to unlock, and the initial knights are diverse enough to please anyone. At least, in magic. Play a melee build, and everyone is exactly the same.

Scott Pilgrim is local only with the co-op, btw.

If Scott Pilgrim had online multiplayer, I might've bought it, since one of my friends owns it too. Thanks for the help, Onyx.

Does CC have drop in drop out co-op? And what about tag team attacks? I tried them in SP, and it was impossible for me to do a co-op attack.

Castle Crashers has more unlockables and is the bigger game of the 2. Scott Pilgrims cool-o-meter is off the charts though!
Also, I think this point sums up the decision, beyond the multiplayer mechanics.

As much as I dislike Scott Pilgrim (the character, books, etc.), the SP game is better than Castle Crashers in my opinion. Castle Crashers is a good game, but I hate the Flash art style they use in all their games. Then again, I always loved River City Ransom and SP is basically a remake/homage to it. Not to mention that SP is $5 cheaper.

Castle crashers is pretty fun and the multiplayer works smooth. :)
