Poll: Screaming soldiers

while playing the Killzone3 beta and talking on a private game forum I came in a discussion with apparently overprotective fanboy. My view of that game is thats it was awesome but I thought the screaming way after the killshot was kinda overdone. His view was that the gamecompany tried to be realistic and that I should stop b*tching Q.Q

so just wondered what the rest of the population thought about the "final scream" in this game??? overdone or realistic???

OT:I thought this was gonna be about just slodiers out of reach of both teams crying from their wounds and calling for mother. But if you shoot an enemy in the head, they shouldnt make a noise. Same with the throat and probably the heart. But, if you shoot them five time in the chest, then they(the developer) might be entitled to putting in a scream before passing on. But thats just my opinion.

WHOT I would never post something about real soldiers, especially about them screaming Q.Q I don't even have the balls to join the military dude >.< SO f*cking glad I didn't pass the test XP

I hate when soldiers scream after being shot in the head.. makes no sense whatsoever. and it happened all the time in mgs4.

I'm not in the military. I just watch the History channel occasionaly and read historic fiction. And I was saying, if tehy really wanted it to be realistic, they would have had them cry something articulate. I didn't play the game, I just thought that if they were really shooting for realistic, they would have done something like that. I don't have the balls to join the military either, so yeah, I'm not a military man.

One of my grandfathers who fought in WWII said that when people are shot they usually stagger around in a daze for a bit, no doubt trying to come to terms with their immenent death, before collapsing and dying. These of course aren't the blokes who just die instantly from a headshot. It was pretty heart-wrenching to see him get all emotional when talking about how guys he knew would just drop suddenly and he'd look over to them and see that they were dead. There was no time to feel grief for them, you just had to keep going and watch your arse.

So I don't know if the game's accurate or not, but going by my grandfather's eyewitness testimony I'd say not.

I don't really care about the screaming in the game, although I remember one time hearing someone screaming as they die because an enemy had killed them, and the scream alerted me to their presence, which allowed me to quickly turn around and kill them.

I would say if you killed them with lower body shots, then yes it's fine. If you put a bullet through their skull or neck, or even lungs, then it doesn't make much sense.
