Poll: Second Life?

What do you guys and girls think about Second Life? I was thinking about looking into it. I don't know a whole lot other than the basics, but I'd like to know all of your opinions on the matter.

I developed a client viewer that works with the Vuzix VR920. It has stereoscopy and head tracking. Aside from that, I haven't used it.

not tried it, doesn't appeal and, therefore, probably never will.

It's pretty big and pointless, really a rather large 3D chatroom. That, and there's furries out the wazoo there (not that they're a bad thing, mind you).

If you're looking for a more polished version of Home, look into it. If you're expecting an actual MMO, pick up a copy of WoW.

Yeah, it's fun if the area is well made. Just press a key and you lift off, then you move at like 20 time your normal speed.

No, I play games to escape reality, why would I want it recreated? The only time I'd consider it would be if...well...have you heard of those people who made a lot of money from playing Second Life? Then and only then would I play it.

You lift a few feet off the ground and hover there until you press a direction. Then you take off and as you move around you increase your altitude until you hit the "ceiling". It's a nice diversion to go flying through a big city or from island to island.

Sorry, but no, first life takes up too much of my system's memory, so there is no way I'm willing to install a second one without risking some serious deterioration in performance.

There's a lot of weird stuff there from what I read, my friend told me (he's from Somethingawful) and there's a lot of "not good stuff there" and if you're not careful you can wind up with viruses from just the program without extras. I would avoid it, that's my advice.
