I was just watching a few minutes of that paul mckenna show, however his name is spelt, the one where he gives you tips on how to lose weight etc. Now I like this show because it doesn't brow beat you into telling you how you should be. It tells you how you could change if you WANTED to.

Which got me thinking into a very long train of thought to arrive to this conclusion.

I hate people who have no respect for themselves and hate themselves for who they are.

Now to elaborate a bit what I don't like about these people is that they don't see any of their problems as their own fault. Like the entire world has given them a handicap.

However, for those of you in (for example) a situation where your life has fallen apart and you're depressed etc. But you still have your self respect and are still happy with you as a person...I adore you. You strong willed, happy, contented people who think all the time, "Yes this is ME and I love who i am."

What do you guys think? Do you think people can be happy with themselves all the time like me and a lot of others? Or are we doomed to be surrounded by people who think they deserve some magic wand to instantly change who they are?

Just for clarity, I've left out life situations because even the happiest people can have their lives collapse around their ears. I'm talking about people who keep their self respect no matter what happens in their life.

You are my type of guy(or gyal)can I can have your babies?:D
I used to not like myself alot when I was younger, surprisingly for a black guy I didn't like my big lips lol but I know that's just the t"trademark" if you will of a black person and it's something I have accepted, I've also accepted my faults both big and small, I'm only human. I'll always have repsect for myself now, because I'm such a great person to be:)

It is guy and Ummm....I'm taken! :p

Anyway, great to hear you got your self respect back ^_^ Nothing more important than that I feel. If you let them take that then what have you got left?

I had a similar problem when i was younger, I used to rage a lot in high school because I hated letting people down or screwing up. It started to change when I found the best philosophy of my life "Whats the worst that could happen? You drop dead."

When i started telling myself that question&answer I felt a lot of relief and realised theres a lot i can't control and bad things WILL happen...so why worry?^_^

I'm confident with who I am. I was really down now on New Year's for some lady related stuff, but I picked myself up, and now I'm all good again. Fresh with self happiness and respect. Things will always be better if you want them to. Of course it helps to have close friends around you, but in the end it is you, and only you, who can do something about whatever troubles you.

If you are happy with yourself, you lack the ambition to become a better person, and you should hate yourself, or you are perfect and should start a cult/religion

eah but...cults/religions have a big start up cost these days...all that telephoning, advertising, cultist brainwashing...i mean training. Then theres the cost of building a nuclear bunker for when you start WW3 accidentally(re:vaporise the non believers!).
