i think the games industry is wierd.
want to make a survival horror with a female protagonist,hmm that sounds like a failure;here you can use the tomb raider name to sell it.
it just seems like its easier to sell games if they have a big name attached to it, Modern warfare really had no buisness having the call of duty tag, nor did Bad company the battlefield one.
not that the above are bad or will be(i'm hopeful for tombraider), i just think its a fact of the games industry that franchises can't be judged as a whole.
