Harold Shipman beats them all with the most confirmed kills.
It's always debated pretty heavily who has the most. Since many killers lie or will even claim to kill someone they haven't for the recognition.
Yes but he's the most confirmed as in they've found the bodies and tested them. Of course there's probably some super killer out there with thousands of kills, who hasn't been caught and likely never will be. :)

I have to respect Jack the Ripper. Sure, he killed people, but if you can avoid giving away your identity for 110 years, you have to be doing something right.

The zodiac killer is interesting because of his cryptic messages, still jack the ripper never got caught so he wins.

For a fictional killer i will go Schizo Slasher.

Why? Because alliteration is fun.

Jack The Ripper for Various and Sundry reasons.
For one thing,we have the same name!
For another,Lordi made a song dedicated to him!
And He Never! Got! Caught!
He had 5 victims that we know about,he probably killed a bunch more that were never found,he left clues,he even sent letters to the police chasing him! 5 victims may not seem like much compared to the other killers on the poll but you have to add in the factor that he was only hunting specific people in a specific area. And of course, he got away with it without revealing his identity, location, likes, dislikes, hobbies(except for whore-killing of course) and he probably died of natural causes years later! So in conclusion,Vote Ripper!!!

Everyone says Jack cuz he didn't get caught but... it was the 1880s it's not like they had lots of ways to track people back than...

Also fictional killer name would be <color=blue>'The Saddest Serial Killer' because it sounds like a childrens story.

I vote for Pedro Alonso Lopez. He was molested repeatedly as a child, so he raped and killed 200 South American little girls.

Has to be Ed Gein. Inspiration for Michael Myers, Leatherface, Hannibal, Buffalo Bill etc.

Although Dexter Morgan comes second.

uhh, I don't see my name on here, and who do you think was behind the Kennedy incedent? Oswald always was gullable...
Kennedy's one person. You have to kill a string of people to count as a serial killer.

Also we've all seen watchmen, we all know it was The Comedian who was responsible for the Kennedy assassination. : P

I'm not sure what I'd fear more Ed Gein Zombie or Ed Gein Vampire.
Let's see here.

Ed Gein going: Braaaaainsssss!

OR

Ed Gein going: I will suuuck your blooood, bleah bleah!

... Both, mildly disturbing to say the least. XD

once again, I vote for none of the above

Dr. H. H. Holmes

Built himself a murder palace for almost nothing in the middle of chicago, is suspected of murdering more than 300 (some say 400) people, and is even a possible suspect for the true identity of Jack the Ripper.

wait a minute, why do you need this whole floor soundproofed?
