I wish they did something like that, but hidden and subtle.

*every 1000 steps makes you move one click slower. Halfway through the game, you can't move.
*reload time gets longer and longer every level
*remove one color every level
*lower gravity progressively
*random game save erasing

Just make the "bug" reach its climax later in the game, ruining the whole game and perhaps the save file with it, ahah.
Those have been tried before and failed since the pirates flooded game forums complaining about the "game destroying bugs" and with word of mouth being what it is probably ruined a fair amount of potential sales.

Eh... I think that rather than DRM, this was created in hopes of getting a small amount of free publicity. DRM will always be cracked, and the developers know that. If they were serious with DRM, they would have made it heavier. So why would they waste time in doing something that ultimately useless, and won't really affect the amount of people who pirate it? Publicity for making such a hilarious thing. IMO.

This is probably gonna get cracked, but it is also pure genius.
Already has been to my knowledge.

Still, this is a case of DRM done right. You don't fuck over paying customers.

I'm looking at you, Ubisoft.

That wasn't hilarious at all. Now, if the game just spawned hundreds and hundreds of Suicide Kamikaze's, THEN it would be freakin' hilarious.

That is awesome, though, like all DRM, it will get "fixed," and, from the sound of it, already has been. Still, it's much better than Ubisoft's DRM, as well as many others.

My question to you my fellow escapists, is this a good way to stop piracy? I personally think it is; The comedic value is enough for me to be all for it.
Once it's known, it gets cracked along with the other DRM. It being "funny" doesn't mean it works.

So you seem to be confusing "It makes me LOL" with "It's a good way to stop piracy."
Every DRM gets cracked. I simply meant that this is a way to delay to pirates for a half and hour that at least provides entertainment value. There is no way to stop piracy, any moral fiber (CDprojekt) or annoyance (Ubisoft) will be ripped to shreds by pirates regardless of what anyone says or does.
