"So long as ye harm none, do as thou wilt."
In short, I have nothing against promiscuity if that's your prerogative. Find like minded people and have fun! Just make sure to play it safe - spreading STIs around is bad.

although I have to say - while I don't have a problem with promiscuity, or even with the people who personally believe sex is a sacred act to be shared only between two people who are deeply in love and idk, married or whatever, I have a serious problem with people whose stance towards the issue can be summed up in two words - "double standards".
you know, a dude who gets laid a ton is a player and whoa he is just so cool you guys, banging all those chicks. but ugh, girls who are into having lots of sex? what dirty sluts!
Right on, screw double standards.

I just think it's stupid, that's all. This whole "sex is sex" argument doesn't fly with me. Sex was once an expression of love, but nowadays it's just something you do to have fun. I personally think that's not living life to the best, and while I'll only be angry if someone's really obnoxious about it, I think others would be a lot happier if they took sex and love more seriously.
No, sex has always been sex. The "old times" weren't better. Whoring is one of the oldest professions in the world. Greeks and Romans slept with each other all the time. Some cultures had
sacred prostitutes. These are the same "old times" that gave us stuff like "The Fisherman's Wife" (oldest tentacle porn ever!) and the "Kama Sutra." As well as the Marquis de Sade.
People had sex for sex. People have always had sex for sex. Technology has changed how we interact but it hasn't changed what we fundamentally
are. We are the same violent, horny monkeys we always were. We just like to pretend we aren't.
Besides; one can have sex for fun and sex for love. These things are not mutually exclusive.
