personally, I just think its 12 year olds trying to be edgy, Some times they can be really stupid, I saw some teenager trying to draw a swastika, and getting half of it backwards and half perfect. without the 45 degree turn.

Which forces me to conclude most of the time when people make these jokes they have no idea what they are talking about, other than the fact that its offensive and offensive must equal funny.

I dunno...
Summer Heights High & Little Britain were both pretty damn funny, & they're abound with shock tactics.
If they're anything like those shows, its funny.

Btw, am I really the only person who doesn't know about these shows?

I think he's referring to something he actually saw, not a show.
Edit: *ignore me - misunderstanding* :)

Shocking+intelligence=pretty funny. Shocking with nothing else is just stupid. If you're trying to convey a message with your shock, then I don't mind as much, but when you're shocking people just because you can or want to, it's not really that funny any more. Borat was funny, Bruno was not.

I no longer like Little Britian. It can be funny, but its difficult, dies fast, and is irritating.
Finally, someone else that thinks that. It's died but people can't accept it and move on.

I thought it was universally accepted that Little Britain has become stale.

Well boo hoo fucking boo. As far as i am concerned tasteless humor is worth 10 times more then most of the so called "Sophisticated humor" allot of people appear to like.

Check out this site:

http://www.electricretard.com/

The humor is so offensive that the site is actually banned in Germany, and it's a big shame because allot of the comics made me laugh myself to tears.
I've officially lost any respect I had, ever, for you. And since I haven't spoken to you before, that's less than none. Because seriously, if you think that that is 'laugh-yourself-to-tears-funny', then you have an undeveloped sense of humor. Little Britain uses shock tactics, and it makes me laugh because it uses them in way that is quite funny. This Electric Retard isn't. It uses shock tactics, but somewhere along the way the humor is lost. What you showed me isn't funny, it's just 'oh... that's nice'. Seriously. Not even a chuckle.

So your telling me you don't find this even mildly amusing:

Not everybody can be pleased by begin rubbed in the same way. Don't bash me for my finding something funny that you don't, you will just look like some self righteous jerk.
Hey, I didn't bash you, I bashed the comic in a hard way but I never said anything about you. You seem to be picking fights over things that aren't there. And that comic: I hadn't read that when I posted it, and admittedly I chuckled. It's the ones with stupid, stupid sex stuff all over it that just comes across as, 'HURR DURR LOOKY ME!!! I DRAW PENISISIS AND A DAD CHOPPING OF KIDDY PENISIS!!! ' and not particularlly clever.

I dunno man. The bit with the parents and the child actors nearly made me pee myself.
Okay, that one part was funny, but as a whole, Bruno was unimpressive. Borat was a lot funnier throughout.

Sometimes it's funny, but other times it's just people trying for a cheap laugh. *cough* Family Guy *cough*

Depends really. Shock Humor could also be random stuff and at the same time not be offensive. I tend to use a tad bit of Shock Humor in my conversations, but even I keep it civil when it comes to jokes.

"Any idiot can tell a dirty joke and get a laugh. It takes real talent to get a laugh from a clean joke." - Groucho Marx

Lowbrow humor just identifies the teller as stupid, unless it's lowbrow humor done with a master's touch (Jeffrey Ross comes to mind, so does a well-told version of the Aristocrats joke.)
