Found a room of enemies? Run in with a shotgun and hear every last shot pile their bodies up.

I LOVE shotguns.

OR standing in the mines (near nova prospekt). Stabd in a corner and everytime a headcrab jumps at you...BAM!!!!

EDIT: however much I like shotguns...I tend to stick with assault rifles/machine guns because a lot of the time it is simply not smart to run right in front of the battle

Thats a sucky poll. I dont use shotguns, but I dont "just stay in the background taking potshots at people because I'm to terrified to even look at the battlefield!"

The selection for the poll is sort of majorly....retarded. I prefer other weapons primarily, like assault rifles or hell, pistols. Shotguns are for short range, normally between you and less than 100 feet or so, but in most games, you can snipe with them.

I'm the one in the back with an m104 sniper rifle killing guys with headshots from across the map saving my teamates and such. I ususally set up in a spot where I can see the objective like a flag or area of defence, and just pick off all the HVT's (High Value Targets)

Because there is no middle option. You either have the guts to look your enemy in the eyes before taking his life (CQC) or you're too terrified to and you don't (LRC).

There's no middle ground in that.

fool.shotguns are the easy option,just walk right up to the enemy hit R1 and...Gibbed.You cant miss! its brave when youre shooting a gun that you actually have to aim.

Maby I say the knife is for true warriors who have guts in CQC and shotguns are the cowards option for dealing with someone close up.

Yeah really, I may love running into a room and getting up close and personal. But I don't think less of the guy half way across the level who kills me.

There's no middle ground in that.

Ok so CQC = close quarters combat, LRC = Long Range Combat yes?
The middle ground would be MRC = Medium range combat, [small]where you can sort of make out his eyes but can't tell the eye colour before you take his life.[/small]
Also, it's a video game. Don't pretend there is any bravery or cowardice involved.

On Topic, I occasionally use the shotgun though I prefer assault rifles. I'm also rather pants at sniping.

Always. Who doesn't use Shotguns? Especially when it's the Flak Cannon from UC2. A game with a fun and balanced (or not) Shotgun has already done a lot to endear itself to me.

I use them when its close quarters. Other than that I'm most likely running around with an assault rifle with a scope (if possible)

If were talking about cheap guns, lets take the SAW and M-60 into account. Any gun that you can just spray away through 6 walls and a car and still get the kill is cheap by my brain thoughts, but then again so is sniping and that's about all I do. Yet at the same time in COD 4 hardcore team death, EVERY gun is a one hit kill pretty much...even most pistols...and that's basically all I play so I guess there all cheap to some point.
