Your physk crap that trys to convince people that they love shotguns aint going to work.
Just because you put that cowerdly sounding thing on the end doesnt mean people arnt going to say they dislike shotguns.
I prefer assault rifles with underslung grenage launchers.
I'm also sure there will be some snipers and heavy weaons dudes here who will pick no despite that sentence on the poll.

for the 1st: you cant spell, and second, noobtubes are for complete jerks who just doesnt like other players. its too easy to kill with. the shotgun at least takes some effort, but the noobtubes just kills too easily.

But i am going to say that some skill is needed with assault rifles as they have terrible accuracy.

Only in those games where you can walk at insane speeds so you can get close enough. For example, in Quake and TF2 I love my shotty, in other games it's mostly shyte.

I am horrible at one aspect in particular with first person shooter games: Aiming

Any weapon that allows me to just be facing the general area of my target when I shoot and still hits is a weapon for me. This also includes the flame thrower and any machine gun with a wide spray of bullets.

Nothing better than getting up close and personal with an enemy with a shotgun. Especially on zombie games, L4D anyone? Cant beat that kind of firepower.

i perfer assault rifles myself, in cod 4 i pwn with the g36c. i do use shot guns though and if you could get an under barrel shot gun that would be graet.

Only on zombies and Naht-zees! The only downfall to the shotgun is the reloading time.

But usually I'm more of a AR/Sniper type of guy.

shot guns are for pansies.

if you want in the battle field use a knife or hold a grenade while standing right behind an enemy/team mate if you want to have fun.

if passable use your bare hands.

I prefer subs or rifles in the more realistic games. However, if a game was completely realistic, then shotguns wouldn't work for shit against body armor and they'd be able to hit something as far away as you need it to

Really, I have a bunch to say to everyone on this thread.
First: it's a game. There's no courage involved, you'll just respawn. Good for you if you carried the entire team, but you're not heroes, get over yourselves.

Second: I can't stand people who cry about certain weapons being in games. For a fact, shotguns are not the way to climb to the top of the leaderboard in every game. It's in the damn game, use the weapon when you need it and stop whining when other people use it. For shotguns specifically: if it's a pump action, you'll be lucky if the guy doesn't kill you after you miss, especially if you're not close enough to one hit kill. Even if it's an auto-shotgun, you will never fight a rifle at the appropriate range.

Third: change the poll options (though I know you won't). You're being a baby. Every weapon has its own situation. You don't run around with a shotgun in an open field unless you want to die or everyone else is as in over their heads as you are. And take another look at my first point why don't you.

In Rainbow 6: Vegas 2, I only used the shotguns to get the award. They're mildly amusing, but eh. I don't have an issue with the one hit kill thing, because that only works if you're a good (or lucky shot). I just don't like the lag between firing. I don't spray and pray, but there's this thing called "controlled bursts" that you can't really DO with single shot or semi-auto weapons.

Anyways, shotguns don't have nearly enough 'random' in their spray pattern. It's infinitely more fun to run around with one of the sniper rifles (No scope, no reticle, and a shot that lands somewhere on screen). It's instant kill when the round hits, but it's SO much funnier to get.

I miss when games gave you a shotgun for a default weapon. Now shotguns are specialist weapons and everyone gets assault rifles instead.

Snipers are funner, shotguns take no skill (to me), snipers are fun because you get to watch yourself progressively get better.

The only shotgun that takes skill is the Gears 2 shotgun, because the lag makes it damn difficult : P

I apologize, sarcasm doesn't work well in text. At all. I still hold onto my complaints though. Play the game, stop crying about weapons you don't like.
