One does not "hunt" 4chan.

4chan hunts you.

EDIT:

....except in Soviet Russia.

EDIT 2:

AND LOOK WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM.

4chan is not the place of evil people think it is, sometimes 4channers are misguided but ultimately it about the lulz, not about the destruction of rivals and things it doesn't like.

Unfortunately newfags to 4chan think thats what its about, as such these kids go on there to congregate as some sort of army, this is not what it is, the purpose was to have fun and go against b3ta and ebaumsworld but some people took it too far, during the height of 4chan in 2008 /b/ took on Scientology and took a massive fucking kicking when a judge and Google sided against them.

Thats when things took a turn for the worst, because Google had sided with Scientology the /b/tards got wrecked because what was once they're anonymous friend became they're enemy!.

So no they should not be hunted down, the internet should be educated as to what 4chan is and was and what it could be, because the newfags are what will make 4chan in the future, and so far people think they are a force of hate when that is not the case

They are a force of shits and giggles.

4chan isn't all bad. Why should we condem the whole thing just because of some bad events. Plus trying to take them would cause all the trolls and assholes on the site to either a) start up a new site exactly the same as 4chan or b) migrate to other sites (like this one) and make those sites just like 4chan. So no. Just let the trolls fuck around in their house. Its not affecting ours.

I tend to side on the '4chan needs to be stopped' but I don't really think that exactly. I think the internet vigilantism of 'Anonymous', which often crosses over into real life assaults, needs to be stopped or seriously curtailed.

Take the Gene Simmons website crash, if a bunch of people stormed into a record store in real life and took everything, or stormed into a record company headquarters and smashed everything with baseball bats, we'd condemn them, and the police would hunt them down and arrest them, but suddenly because it's on the internet and it's anonymous we're all cheering for the glorious attack on a filthy capitalist society?

Wake the fuck up, you wouldn't stand for it in real life, so why do people cower in fear when Anonymous are mentioned on the internet? They are bullies, tyrants and dictators who feel obliged to stamp on whatever they don't like out of some hyper-inflated sense of entitlement.
Ya the blatant hypocrisy of this web community really showed through on that one. Ask them about free speech and they act like censorship is the devil and yet the cheer and demand Simmons's blood when he posts junk on his website...

If for some reason. You can not understand the question/point of this topic due to my language skill, please do not post a reply at all.

Thank you.
Heh, someone thinks a lot about themselves.
Nah, I am just sick of being tagged as mindless 10 years old brawling troll because I do grammar mistakes in my sentences. Or getting judged as an idiot or incompetent person without them having any clue what my mother-language is. I usually do respond to them: "You come here and try learning Finnish and our all of our Grammatical cases. Then we will see who's talking."
Well I have to say, nice job. I've been learning French in school for a few years, and I can barely manage a sentence, and it's supposed to be easy to learn!

Sure, there's a couple of errors, but your better than quite a few native speakers.

Anyway, no. For one thing, it's pointless. And there are far worse people that need catching.

I think if anything, we should just stop people from constantly thinking 4chan is some evil thing, when almost all the people that say so, have never even been there, and usually don't even know how to open the threads there.

No! 4chan is our protection that we use when we go to far on the internet because no matter what, we can always point at 4chan and say, "oh yeah? well it's not as bad as what they are doing."

Anonymous is a different thing altogether but we should not "hunt" them because of what they do online, or the demonstrations...the violence is taking it a bit to far though...

Besides, THEY DO NOT FORGIVE, THEY DO NOT FORGET

People, stop mystifying and glorifying /b/

It's just a board of porn and shock images, that is ALL... there is no secret terror organization behind the curtain... it's a joke and if you believe otherwise I recommend you turn off Faux News

I do not 4chan myself, and I know there are "good" things in there. (Depending on your definition on "Good") and thus should not be "hunted" down. But due to my person black and white ideology of negative Utilitarianism. "The virtue of the "thing" is the sum of it' negative side effects."
You are pretty much acting the part of the ignorant parent trying to get video games banned because they have never truly endeavored to understand what they were dealing with. From reading your post, your information is almost exclusively hearsay and entirely indirect.
Dear, sir/ma'am/whatever do mind your language. I am not a parent and I am not even planning to have a child nor a wife. I am pro-video games. And Pro for selling them to people who are right age or above the age limit set to that game (Due to my burocratic way of thinking). And I also believe Games do not cause violence in children or make the go on killing spree (assuming child is healthy mentally). My gaming careeer started when I was at the age of 4.

- Please do not do assumptions of my personality or my ways of living on basis of this, your analysis of my personality completely failed.

- I am pro freedom of act and speech, long as it is kept inside civilised manner.

- I am anti in any form of terrorism/threating, it is not freedom of speech if I can go "I will kill you, person X." (Ofc, this can come under a philosophical argument of limiting ones right to threat people, is liming hes right of free speech.)

- I don't see no use for a site that servers as a place to insult and threat people even if it would have some sum of "good" growth in it.

- Yes, you can threat people on your home, on the street, in the bar. But in each one these enviroments you are setting your personal image on risk and you can be indetified as a person. In internet with right ways protection you can be totally anonymous. (Ofc you can argue you can do that by wearing a discuise or taking some other caution, still it much easier to bust a physical being than an written idea in internet.)

- There is no need to staring insulting me in any manner on the basis that my "Facts" or my "Resons" are wrong.

Quite frankly 4chan isn't anything to be worried about. The b forum that people seem to fear so much is basically just a bunch of teenagers with d.o.s programs that they found on the internet and some goatse pics to randomly post.

4chan is racist, sexist, and they enjoy the odd bit of child porn, but can you stay mad at this?

As much as I love to ridicule people who visit 4chan in real life and to make it the speed bag of the internet, that is still pretty funny...

I would rather have the scurge of the internet in 4chan than everywhere else causing havoc with their craziness, because once 4chan goes they'll move to other websites and infest them. Would you rather have them here or 4chan?

I called The Internet Police and they are coming all for you!

Honestly you cant take 4Chan down another substitue will just pop up and take its place. Same thing with Piratebay you just shouldnt even bother with it. Within a week there will be a new big thing to post on.
I completely agree, if you shut down 4chan, all of it's users will just find another site to converge upon to get their daily lulz. They may move, for instance, to a certain internet gaming magazine site... And who wants that!

-Trodo (Trevor) Baggins

P.S. I want to make it known that I do not 4chan, so this is not a threat of moving them here... And I now realize that I may have just given them the idea.

At a completely theoretical level:

If there was a way to completely annihilate 4chan out of existence, then yes. I believe in freedom of speech. But what they do there isn't always exactly within legal boundaries. I've got no problem in seeing criminal sites taken down.

Now anyone who read the first row of the post, they probably noticed the theoretical part. In reality, this is quite impossible. Something impossible should not be attempted, since it can only fail.
