TL,DR: Herobrine is a scary mob within Minecraft who messes with the game world, stocks the player... and isn't actually in Minecraft. However, the Majhong team have repeatedly said they would include Herobrine in Minecraft eventually... and they've also said they wouldn't add him. Already, there is a mod made where you can activate Herobrine using a special totem, and then he places letters from his name and traps around, and appears the heck out of no where just to give you a heart attack (You can see the videos below).

But I am curious, fellow Escapist fellows. I assume a good number of us have Minecraft, but what do you think? Should Majhong include an official Herobrine into Minecraft?

Discuss!

I think Herobrine is best staying as he is. Just an internet creepypasta. It would have been cool if he was added in when these rumours started appearing and weren't yet confirmed or denied, but the story is too old now and it's been debunked too thoroughly. The idea is still cool, but the moment has passed.

Herobrine is in Minecraft. He is always watching you when you craft items, he's behind you when your near lava, he is standing on the shore when you are under water and he is under your bed when you sleep.

I'd like to see him put in, but not as someone who can interact with you in any way.

Have him spawn in the distance at night, or in the end of a cave, where as you approach him he disappears. Or even give him a minor character role where he kills a zombie or two in the distance, but also spawns immediately behind you in your home or near lava to scare you, disappearing in a dark flicker a split-second later. One final appearance he could have is standing over your bed the very instant you fall asleep. Another thing I'd like to see him do is pop up ever-so briefly in the players list on Xbox, or say things in chat on PC.

But it should be infrequent: like a single, quick, easily miss-able appearance every 2 real-life hours or so, but not in Peaceful or Creative mode as he could end up just being intrusive.

He's already in the game!

Actually I thought it was first referring to when monsters attempt to spawn on peaceful and disappear a second later, that scared the shit out of me the first time I saw that.

Minecraft to me, is a building game. The combat is terrible, the survival aspects are boring and there isn't any progression or point to reach besides building cool things with your friends. Any other aspect that makes building less fun detriments the game (to me and quite a few people).

and you want to add....of all things.....the lamest, most PG, un-scary creepypasta to ever be concieved?

No, never. Simply for the fact that the amount of "I found Herobrine!" forum posts would be unbelievable, too much for anyone to bare.
