Since my 360 crapped out on me I've decided to get the much more reliable PS3 (Not up for debate) but my list of games to get is considerably short. Singularity, inFAMOUS, Bioshock 2, and Arkham Asylum are on my short list the Orange Box also caught my attention but I don't know if it's worth it. Opinions please.

I'm not a PC gamer but fixed? What's wrong with it?
I'm pretty sure the PS3 version doesn't get updates like the PC and 360 versions so the classes aren't as well balanced as they are on those versions....I think

Yes it's 5 whole games for a low low price! Is that cool or what?! I mean other time people have pay 60 dollars for just one game.

It's a good value, but last I checked the PS3 one is horribly bug ridden. They might have patched it or something since though.

Half-life 1 and 2, Portal, Team Fortress 2. What are the other games?

It is the best value you will ever get for a disk. You get 5 brilliant games for the price of one. I can't think of a reason why you shouldn't get it.

Pick it up. At this point it's more expensive to order a pizza than to buy the orange box. I bought mine for the 360 for about $10(American)at my local block buster, and this was about a year ago. That is if you don't mind buying a used copy.

Most people really liked it, so they might recommend it, but I didn't. All I liked was Portal. I found Half Life to be the average shooter with a special gun and some puzzle aspects thrown in, and from my experience with Team Fortress, it was hard to get into, as when I played I got yelled at for being confused when I started. It isn't too bad, once you get the hang of it. Overall, I'd get it just for the experience, as Portal is fantastic, Half Life you might like, and once you understand Team Fortress, it is pretty fun.

It isn't Half Life 1. It is Half Life 2, Half Life 2 Episodes 1 and 2, Portal, and Team Fortress. Half Life 1 is an entirely different game.

Nothing as such.

Except it doesn't have 2 year's worth of bug fixes and exploit fixes.

It's also missing the class updates, three game modes (Payload, Payload Race, King of the Hill), all the maps associated with those modes and some minor graphics/sound/animation updates. Plus the community maps (there's hundreds now).

Half Life 2, HL2 Ep 1, HL2 Ep 3 and Portal all represent fantastic value if you get it, regardless of platforms. But on the consoles TF2 is a bit limited and very open to cheaters.
You should definately get it, if you can get the PC version as it will serve you best.

Yeah... I'm pretty sure Tf2 is suffering massive lag issues... it has had no updates either so there are no unlockables and awesome maps.

and OB contains HL2, HL2 ep1, HL2 ep2, Portal, and Tf2

At the current price, I'd say that it's a good deal. I haven't played it, but I did play the Portal demo and that was pretty fun.

Half-Life 2, HL2:Ep1, HL2:Ep2, Portal and Team Fortress 2, it's hard to go wrong really. However, PS3 updates for Team Fortress 2 are pretty much non-existent as far as I know so I'd recommend getting it for PC if that's an option for you.

You should not buy the Orange Box because the desire to buy it wasn't there when it was on the 360 with more support from Valve.

It's a great collection of games, but if you didn't buy it before, there's no sense buying it now.

Unless it's really cheap and you have a couple extra dollars or something.

How's this for advice.

What kind of games do you like? Buy those kinds of games.

Portal: Great if somewhat short.
The various Half Lifes: Good but don't expect the super game everyone raves aboot; they are average FPSes.
TF2: A decent class based multi-player.

Sounds good to me.
