Poll: Should I sell my Nintendo Wii?

If you do hock the Wii, my vote goes to the Xbox. I prefer the controller, it costs less and you get essentially the same game library regardless since there are only a handful of exclusives for either console. If you don't have an HDTV, then the blue ray player is just an expensive gimmick (and Blue Ray movies tend to cost more, though it could be argued this is due to the fact that many of the movies are the Super Special Editions and are priced similarly to the DVD versions with the same feature set).

PS3, the wii doesn't have to many good games for it and the controls are weird and the 360 doesn't have more than 3 good games you can't just get for the computer ( and you get a shit load more with the computer).

However, there are plenty of good import PS3 games out right now.

you are the dumbest gamer I know. The PS2 had a slower possessor than the GC. The Ps2 had a worse graphic card than the ps2. the ps2 had a slower possessor than the SEGA DREAMCAST!!!!

yes the wii is not as powerful as a 360, but that is no point to push it off as a ps2.

1) The PS2 had a faster main CPU than the Dreamcast. However, it was seriously under-equipped in the graphics memory department, sporting only a quarter of the amount that the Dreamcast had.

2) He was only comparing the Wii to the PS2 in the appearance department... which is really silly too, since the PS2 was an ugly fucker and the Wii is quite stylish. I'd also point out that he's incorrect about the Wii CPU being the same as the Gamecube CPU, since that's like saying that a Pentium II 233 is the same as a Pentium 133.

Ok...I was not talking about the graphic CPU if you look at the original Ps2 you would see that the the main CPU is actually 50mhz slower than the DC but I guess that you wouldn't know that.

After I bought COD WaW for Wii, it really did disappoint me. I spent $50 (same price for the other systems I believe) and yet it really didn't give me the same amount of content as the other systems. That convinced me that the Wii wasn't really my type. Should I sell my Wii and buy a Xbox or PS3? Or just keep it and see if a good game comes out later?

PS3 is the women who already got everything you need but your gonna have to take it slow ...at first your gonna want to go and cheat on her but after a while you will fall in deep love and see will blow you ALL the time.

And I'm affraid the only way you will get value out of a Wii game is if it is not a port of a current gen console, something made only for the Wii.

And, by the way, the Wii was never meant for games like COD. There is a FPS that is coming out for the Wii (The Conduit, I think it is called) that I'm sure will be better than a port of COD.

So in short, the Wii is only good for exclisives (which would be most of it's games). That said their are some good titles out there. Madworld being the obvious first. RE4 if you haven't already played it (I played it on GC and played it again on Wii, I liked the Wii version much better). Okami (a port from PS2, but a really good one).

I would advise you keep your Wii, and save up for a new console. Chicks dig a Wii (my wife loves it). Can't imagine you would get much for a used Wii anyway (definately not enough for a new console). But if you move to a new console, I would suggest the 360. I have both PS3 and 360, and my 360 gets much more use. Yes you have to pay for online service, but the 360 online is much better than PS3, plus, people use mics (not so on PS3). Also, I like the 360 exclusives better (save for Killzone 2).

Well matters if you are a Monster Hunter fan or not :S only reason I still have my Wii is because of it (yes it is sitting there gathering dust) but I also have a 360 (it also is gathering dust since my brother took my games) and plan on getting a PS3 probably at the end of the year so my buddies will zip it and leave me in peace about games. I mainly play on my psp anyways since I use it as my radio as well XD

If you're a serious gamer then ditch the wii, it really is just a gimmick console.

As for the replacement I honestly don't know what to recommend. 360s these days don't seem to have the hardware issues they once did and they have a wider selection of games so I guess I'd recommend that.

I like my wii. I have it hacked to play emulators, a very nice addition. Consoles, are in general, for children and idiots, and I say that as a holier-than-thou PC gamer who spends much more on his computer per year than he has ever spent on consoles per year (averaged out). But seriously, graphical comparison between the PS3 and even a rather dated computer (computer designed as a gaming rig) is pretty bad.

My wii is there to:

a: watch my girlfriend do the hula hoop 'game' in her underwear
b: play chronotrigger and other classics
c: entertain my friends at parties when the beer and hookers have run out
d: im totally getting mad world for some fun times.

The PS3 exists to:

a: say omg i has teh ps3 and rant about how cell > everything
b: play mostly the same games everyone else has, generally with unoptomized graphics
c: play killzone 2

The xbox 360 seems to exist to:

a: a networking device to meet and greet with microsoft RMA employees
b: play mostly the same games everyone else has
c: teabag peoples faces in halo

Yeah, im coming accross as a fanboy there, but look, ps3 and xbox are cheap PCs with an inferior input device. They admit that during marketing, microsoft is in every room of the house except the living room so they need computers on your entertainment stand. There is NO reason to go off on long tangents about which system is better when both are beaten hands down by a computer-- an upgradable system that can do other things as well.

edit: wait, disregard that, i own microsoft stock so buy a 360 NOW
