Poll: Should I Start an RP?

If I started an RP how many people would be interested in joining? I'm thinking either a zombie apocalypse, a snow apocalypse, or a fallout 3-like thing.

How wedded are you to post-apocalyptic? I'd love an RP that led up to the apocalypse and continued beyond -- the complete collapse right before WWIII, or the panic right before a REALLY FRICKIN' HUGE Blizzard O' Doom hits, or something like that.

Robot uprising dude! Just don't treat EMPs like a magic bullet. You need a nuke to create a reasonably sized EMP field, and magnetic shielding exists.

Also, I really wanna join one but there are no new ones. That's why I'm starting my own =p From what other people have told me, I'm a good storyteller. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Sure, I guess. Apocalypses are a bit over done though and games based on other games don't really interest me that much as they lack originality but hey, make whatever you want.

At the moment I'm working on a Space Opera RP but it's taking it's sweet arse time to be completed. I have the bones of the story worked out and the universe is essentially completed yet trapped in my mind and I just need to work on the finder details like names, descriptions and so forth. It is coming along really slowly though and I doubt it will ever be made. I also worry that if it is made the length of the first opening posts and the amount of detail contained within will drive people off as most RPs tend to have little more than a page in their first post.

Make sure that you work on your RP though. Don't make one on a whim, spend time on the story, characters and universe before making the game.

I'd say that it is worth the time to create an RP. I find it fun to write stuff like that and if you do too than why not make one?

Yeah I'm gonna start writing and everything tomorrow. It's probably gonna be the snow one. Maybe... POST-NUCLEAR SNOW?!? But yeah I'm gonna take my time on this so it doesn't suck.

Oh man, I'd play that so hard. I'm too busy with taking every class ever to be able to game much with real people nowadays and I miss it terribly :c

Also, yeah, story and worldbuilding are hugely important for RPs. Are you planning on making a story of some kind -- is there an overarching goal or a Big Bad End Guy? Or is it just a survive-til-you-can't sort of a thing?
