What about the Volus? Doesn't anyone want to know what they look like?
That, unforutnately, is never going to happen. The Volus CANNOT go outside of their suits in an environment suitable for Humans, Turians, Quarians and Asari. If they do, they will suffocate because they breathe ammonia, their flesh will split open and their blood will boil out of their bodies due to the lowered atmospheric pressure. Quarian immune systems might make open-air environments very hazardous, but they can at least attempt it. Not so with the Volus.
I actually quite like the idea of visiting the Volus homeworld, with the Volus all skipping around and free, and with Shepherd and crew having to wear chunky suits. Why is that difficult at all?

Taking known facts into account Quarians look like chronic immune deficient patients, if said patients were also alien.

Pale with sores and sparse hair. From what can be interpreted from Tali's visor, she has two eyes and a nose, a mouth if there is no other way for them to produce sound.

They may have pupil less eyes, or at least that's the impression the visor gives me.

I'm with Kelly, character matters over appearances.

It shouldn't matter, but they would be unwittingly destroying the huge following that she has amassed if they did.

I'm not the biggest Tali fan, but she is a member of the squad. I feel like her removing her helmet would hurt the character she's built around.
What does being a member of the squad have to do with revealing her face and her character? My Shepard wears a helmet that covers the entirety of his face. Does it remove a part of his character when it's removed? What about other party members that wear rebreathers and faceguards in combat situations and hostile environments?
the point is you still know what they look like. you NEVER get to see tali's face, EVER. everyone else only wears helmets situationally, and you still know what shepard's face looks like from the character creation screen. I do kind of agree that it would hurt the character she is built around, if they do it wrong. like just about everything, it CAN be done right. though, since they have a large corporation involved, those chances get a bit slimmer of them doing it right.
so really, i just want to know what a quarian looks like, not necessarily what tali looks like. perhaps it is curiosity, perhaps it is because my imagination requires a bit of a focus for me to envision my own tali face.

i think it is mostly curiosity, i just want to know what a damn quarian looks like. if we are given the option, they should at least make it optional so that the people who do not want to know, do not have to.

I think it would be King, Emperor and God over a hierarchy of bad ideas. Bioware is an amazing company that does what they do best. They have been crafting amazing worlds and characters since the company's genesis. They know that pleasing fans and keeping up a high quality of product is the best business model. None of that will matter to the grieving, frothing, hate-filled mob that would burn the company down the instant Tali's face is revealed. In her case, NO, do not do it. That way you might only get one office or hallway burnt down instead of the whole thing.

I think it would be ideal if a Quarian's face was actually shown at some point, even for a split-second... perhaps Quarian skin... or at the flat, very least a note that describes individual differences between them. We know they aren't robots or whatever, they're flesh and bone like the rest of us, so not showing us what's "under the hood" in the last installment would be a pretty poor thank-you to the customers.

it is probably because they are fat, they play minor roles at best, and the ones you do meet tend to be greedy assholes. makes you not really care much about them or what they look like since you never really get to know one.

I wouldn't mind seeing what a Quarian looks like, just out of interest. Some of the fan art I've seen shoots for an Elvish look, that was kind of nice....but I really wanna see what BioWare say they look like.

If you want to reveal Tali's face then I think it should be a reward. If you don't romance anyone in ME1, then romance Tali in ME2 and then continue and solidify that romance (possibly with marriage or something of equal social weight) in ME3's hopefully happy conclusion; your reward should be able to see Tali's face. Next to your's in a photo of you both together.

Basically, you've got to earn it. For a Quarian I'm guessing showing someone your face is an act of extreme intimacy and is therefore profound: and it should be treated as such.

ME is full of options, why not give the option but not make it mandatory. Hell I'm more curious what the female Turrians and Krogan look like, gotta be weird.

Another option for the reveal, in the last scene, against the setting suns in the Quarian Homeworld, Tali and Shepard share a kiss. Roll Credits.

Yes dammit, I want to know what a Quarian looks like.

It doesn't necessarily have to be Tali's face that gets revealed, it could be another Quarian or somekind of ancient, detailed Quarian hieroglyph that can give the player hints on how Tali herself might look.

But Bioware needs to lift atleast part of the veil.

As curious as I am, I don't want to know what she actually looks like. The whole mystery surrounding her appearance is what makes her so great. Well, that and the accent. And the hips. And the incredibly cute way she fumbles about when talking to Shepard.

(However much I might love her) I don't want to see Tali's face. I want her face to remain a mystery because whatever the designers create, however gorgeous, it will be different to the image in my mind, and that will make her a different person :(

Either of these options would be good "I don't think it would be a good idea, but it wouldn't break the game for me." "At least show us what a Quarian looks like..."

I would like to know what a quarian looks like but I don't know if I want to know what Tali looks like if you romance her. If they do show her face I imagine they would do a good job but who knows they might ruin the idea what some people had in their minds.

While the mystery doesn't hurt, I mostly like Tali for her accent and her personality, so I'm all for Bioware showing us her face.

I'm probably siding with the 'don't show her face' crew to be honest. I don't necessarily have a desperate need to see a Quarian's face, and this is the final chapter in the Mass Effect story. Whether the ME universe is carried beyond ME3 or not, throughout the iterations of Mass Effect players have been able to identify with the quarians without 'seeing' them.

Showing their faces now would feel out of place - I for one am used to them as they are. Aside the awkwardness of showing them now, the obvious 'ideals' that players have built around Tali could be shattered. You could almost say that part of what makes Tali so appealing is where players have filled in the blanks themselves.

Mind you, by now I'm repeating points that most people have mentioned already. I just figure that if players have become fond of the quarians and Tali as they are, it should be left that way.

Never liked Tali...but I kind of like the mystery of it. Plus, I imagine she would look really ugly without that mask...so.....lets leave it on shall we?

The mature, sensible part of me says that showing her face would somewhat shatter the mystique and intrigue that has been built up over 3 games.

The immature part of me says "I WANNA F**KIN SEE HER FACE! NOWWWWW!!!11!!!!".

Being serious though, I would feel ripped off if I never found out what Tali looked like. I plan to take the romance with Tali to the end and not getting a proper conclusion to that would just be a kick to the balls.
Then again, do I trust Bioware, the developer responsible for Dragon Age 2, to design the face of dear Tali?

It's a tough issue, but ultimately I think it would just be unsatisfying to get another tease like in Mass Effect 2. Her face should be shown. It would be an appropriate hero's reward, more so then a million digital boobies.

Tali's face for Mass Effect 3!

I swear this topic comes up once a month.
I count this as second time in past 7 days. It's not even coming out this year for heavens sake.

OT: I don't really like Tali enough for it to ruin the game for me, but I think the visor should definitely stay on. Mostly because I imagine it's like if they were to reveal master chief's face. I would go on a murderous rampage if that were to happen.
