Yes. CS:S needs to be re-rendered along with a couple new shines and polishing. The guns need to be made more realistic, by looks and some other stuff. I've seen better user made content (speaking of sweet guns, any of my Gmod homies know if Kermite's rifles came out yet (the hell did I just say?)) . It needs to be a little more... gorier. Unsure if there are any gore mods out there but... ya. I'm not talking about GoW gory. Like, if someone blows your legs off, you have to crawl (your leg is also gone). Blowing off arms result in, well unable to shoot. Only able to use handguns and your knife. And well... you see my point. So yeah... rock 'n roll (what am I saying?).

How about no. It's really old man, leave it be, let it fade, it doesn't need to be updated.

Here I thought they did update it.

I believe it's now called "Modern Warfare 1/2".

Counter-Strike has already been remade once with the Source engine and has a huge community, there would be no point in doing it again.

This is a stupid idea, if your legs or arms are blown off you would just bleed out in a handful of moments. And besides that the game is fairly mature so it would look really out of place.
Crap I'd forgot to add the medic NPCs. Well in a normal terrorist situation there are S.W.A.T., police and parmedics. If you get an arm(s)/leg(s) blown off go/have a teammate drag you to to the paramedics and your player is switched to another S.W.A.T. officer. Of course to prevent bleeding, a medkit could be purchased from the store to slow the bleed-out process. But even all these changes should possibly just go into a mod (like a total reversion) or a new game.

I'm going to say no. There are so many things that you can do with mods like Mani, that you really don't need an update. I know, I helped admin a few servers when I was on here more, but haven't in a while. I know that we set the AWP and Auto snipers so that you simply couldn't use them... It worked like a charm. If someone wanted to snipe, they used a scout, or they left. As for everything else, why? I mean, the game works, why fix what ain't broken?

They tried.

There were once when they put this price system in place which increased/decreased the price of an item depending on how often it was used, i/e, the more a gun were bought, the pricier it would become.

Valve did this to try to encourage players to use more of the weapons in the game and mix things up a little.
Yet the players still stubbornly stuck to the cookie cutters (DEagle, ak-47, m4, ect) which Just raised up and out of control.

I think they reset the prices twice and even increased the effectiveness of the lesser handguns, but without results.
They eventually just changed the game back to the way it was.
And Glocks went down to like, $1.
And people would buy so many it would crash a server.

There's nothing wrong with it, it still has a strong community.
Why would anyone mess with it?

valve should not update anything with source they should just fucking finish half life 2 episode 3 and not end this one on a cliffhanger. i love valve but they are so damn lazy. any company could have made left 4 dead (i did like left 4 dead but i like half life a lot more)

Yeah I know its a name I came up with for steam and by the way I like your profile pic Hot Fuzz was a good movie.
I should have rephrased it, it is so awful it is good actually but It seems you got that.
Good point by the other person quoting me, I am so used to having zedd as name everywhere that I did not realize mine is pretty silly here as well.

now to be OT: They could update it I am sure, but tf2 seems to be their bread and butter promotionwise.

im reading alot of ppl talking about major updates, but css isnt designed for that gameplay. it was made to be as it is. buy guns, get shot, buy guns, kill everyone, etc etc.

if you want to have the gory gameplay, dont get css, or find some mods that will let you do that stuff.

i like it the way it is (as if u couldnt already tell...) and think the updates would only include security or anti-cheat patches.

Counter Strike is fine as it is. The only thing I can see the point in updating are the graphics, but even that isn't a problem. The great thing about CS:S is that alot of people can play it because of it's low requirements. Updating it graphically would only cut out some of the current players.
