My buddy and i believe that hollywood needs to be purged on the grounds of a lack of creativity and remaking films that shouldn't be remade (Forbidden Planet and 20000 leagues under the sea [rumored Will Smith in the latter])

So we're forming a guild to burn hollywood, need only apply.

Context: we are tired of pointless remakes and a general lack of originality do we need more reson than that?

I'd like to say yes..... but every now and then, a gem comes out that's worth keeping. Maybe we should just burn Michael Bay instead?

Sundance film festival. A celebration of independent films. That's movies without the Hollywood influence for you. And in my opinion, I don't really normally like them. But that doesn't mean that every independent movie is horrible, just like not every Hollywood movie is drivel.

The problem with burning hollywood is that they would inevitably make a movie out of it, and it would be like The Towering Inferno. Only worse, with CGI, and Orlando Bloom...

I agree, one of the worste films based on a book I have ever seen.
Pretty sure my eyes were bleeding after I watched it.
Enjoyed the book though.
