I'm not trying to make an exhibit of myself by saying this, but I'm gay. This gives me a different stance on games with nudity in them because I'm less compelled by the promise of a sex scene like in, say, Mass Effect, or the Playboy magazines in Mafia II. I'm disillusioned to the point where I understand that it's just a marketing ploy to get more thirteen-year-old boys who haven't learned the power of Google yet. I guess we'd be even if Mafia II also included sweaty, uncensored locker room scenes but oh well.
So basically I'm against nudity in games in order to get more brainless sales, but that's the developer/publisher's prerogative. It just doesn't have artistic value. That said, censorship is against the entire idea of art, so nothing should really have to be kept back.
The ideal nudity in games for me would be the kind with a sort of artistic value, like in The Void. The fact that you and many other characters are completely naked isn't to simply make more profits, but rather to symbolically portray the fact that you are vulnerable and near death.
Just having boobs in a game for the hype and for the hell of it is shallow, but it should definitely be allowed.
