Poll: Single Player or Multiplayer?

Just wondering what people like most.

I myself would rather play a single player game that had a great story, ambiance, atmosphere and very lifelike AI.

BTW I realize most games offer both and that it can depend on the game but if you had to choose what would you prefer?

I would way rather play a co-op campaign with a great story, ambiance, and atmosphere than to just be playing any mindless Mp game

I would rather do co-op with a friend, but otherwise, single player.

I really dislike playing games alone, and with multiplayer it is much more fun for me.

Single player. Whilst mp is nice it's not often done as well as single player unless the game is intended to be mp (such as Halo 3).

Honestly I'm not that in to the whole multiplayer thing I mean yes its fun to dick people on COD and at Fifa or Madden and I probably spend more hours on multiplayer I'm not saying I dislike multiplayer it adds value and longevitey to titles in my opinion but you will never beat singleplayer knowing you are playing against another human being kills the atmosphere somewhat

One of the only things better than absolutely destroying somebody is doing it with others watching.

Also it's always nice to be able to play against human opponents who each have (mostly) different strategies and finding ways to beat them.

I do a lot more single player than I do multiplayer. I must be some kind of loner I guess, haha. Seriously though, I just don't find very many shooters or anything that much fun online with a few exceptions.

I like both. I prefer single player, though, because I love a game with an amazing storyline. However, that storyline has to end sometime. With multiplayer, every new match feels like a new game to me, some it takes much longer to get old.

Depends on the game. FPS and RTS games I only play online. RPGs and sims,however, I play singleplayer.

You never see any good single-players anymore, the last good one I've played was Dead Space, maybe even Mirror's Edge.

a mixture of both is nice, but what I really want is more co-op gamplay, without going online so you can just turn on another controller and play with you, it doesn't have to be drop in-drop out but it's usually all seingle player or a samll campaigne and online multiplayer, not wiht all games but I'm seeing it in a lot of FPS's
