Poll: Skating games.

A few of my friends. All of who probally dunno their kickflips from their heelflips. Calls me an idiot? Why do they call me an idiot? Why, it is because I play skate 3 alot.

They call it a game for idiots, and a game for kids who cant play real games. But anyways, I wondered what people generally tought of these games? Share your toughts on Skate.

I personally find it to be a great game when you need to just detach from everything else. Or just for when you want mindless fun.

I love it !
I just get a kick out of going down massive ramps and trying to get good at the initially awkward controls.

I think its fun, other people dont, meh.

The skate series is a funny thing. I used to be a big skater and a huge Tony Hawk fan, so when Skate offered a "realistic" skating game, i jumped straight on it.
Now, i have friends who liked Tony Hawk, and like Skate.
Friends who like TH, dislike skate.
Friends who HATE TH and hate Skate.
And friends who HATE both.
etc.

When asked about why they hate it or lov eit, it usually comes down to "too hard" or "too realistic = not fun".

In my opinion, its for people who enjoy skating as a sport & for pople who enjoy a challenge (and creativity)

Skate is an excellent game.
You can't beat the feeling of finding the perfect spot for a sick line you imagined and then eventually pulling it off.
The soundtrack's pretty chilled out too
