Looking outside my window at the brutal sun(my eyes!) and the temperature gauge which is making me miss winter so I ask this question to you all?
Do you ski, snowboard, snow blade(really short ski like things) or do you only go sledding down snow and ice covered hills? If you live in areas without the grace of hills and snow what would you like to try?

I personally ski. Oh and lets not bash each other. Flames tend to melt snow.

I can't do any of those. My balance and co-ordination is horrible. We went on a school trip where we went sking/snowboarding and I spent the entire time on my arse sliding down the begingers slope while my friends were tackling the advanced slopes.

I can't really do either, so I like sledding. It's just such simple, childish fun, which is unbeatable.

My dad took us to a skii resort once. I never really liked it, but it's a fun distraction from life. Although I've been wanting to snowboard since SSX.

Also, where is the ice skating option? It's the only winter sport I can enjoy without having to go to a mountain.

And now, I leave you with this:

I learned to ski first and prefer it, though I have snowboarded several times and greatly enjoyed myself. I also tried ski blades once and had a miserable time.

I ski and tried snowboarding for one year but just couldnt get into it. I dont understand the whole rivalry though. Its trivial, one goes down the hill facing forward, the other goes down facing sidewase.

Although, sledding is truley the sport of kings, especially when your with friends and dick around. Unless the hill is like 4 feet tall, then theres nothing that hill offers.

I've never done any of those. :(

I like watching snowboarding more, and I would think it would be more fun though, so I'll pick it.

I used to snowboard a little. There isn't enough time in the year with snow here to make it a regular hobby though.

It's like fan boy wars. Thats honestly the best way to describe it.

Seeing as how I don't ski or snowboard I'd go with sledding because it holds the ability to be drag a friend down a hill against his will.
You can on skis and snowboards. Trust me it's awesome fun although you get going pretty fast so you have to stay in more control then when sledding.

I hate the people who snowboard because they think it's cool....., skiing is more fun, safer, faster, more maneuverable. The only down-side it the lack of easy grinding.

Good pun! Well, I've only been skiing and had a lot of trouble learning and heard that snowboarding is easier so that's what I picked.

OT: Since moving to FL, I have tried Sumo Tubing and Knee Boarding and recommend those. (I'm working my way up to wake boarding.)

Yeah...I had enough trouble balancing on other things. If I tried that, I would just end up eating a lot of pavement.

I like boarding. I'm capable at it. It's fun. And, being in Colorado, it'd be silly to not do it! This place is a veritable playground for the snow-enabled!!!!!
