So do you use skins in games?
It can be to change some minor annoyance, or to just change the look of something you don't like the look of.

No, I want to play games as they are intended to be played. And skins don't qualify as that for me.

Sometimes, when I find a really good one. Otherwise I just stick with the default ones.

I used to in the past. Changed pretty much every damn car in GTA Vice City. Now I'm on console, so I can't, but I don't think I would if I could. Too much hassle for something that doesn't really add much anyway.

Depends on the game. I don't like the look of Ezio Auditore so I was happy to put on the Altair skin.

I prefer to be able to customize the look of my character through gear. I think things like that are under appreciated these days.

I find sometimes changing a gun skin makes me play better with that gun. For example, the Openarena shotgun is long, thin and precise, and pokes out of side of my screen. The Quake 3 shotgun is wide, short and placed closer under my nose. I more confident with the Quake 3 shotgun, as it just feels as if the gun model suits the nature of the gun better, while the Openarena shotgun looks too precise and fiddly, and I have difficulty aiming with it.

Also, I literally could not use the Deagle from CS:S for shit, but I changed the gun model to a Boberg pistol, and suddenly I became a Deagle demigod. The Boberg looks chunkier and shorter, and I prefer it.

I can't really explain it, but it works.

Most times I just like to dick around though.

this. especially if they are voiced characters it bugs the fuck out of me when skins are changed because its near impossible for me to be immersed or anything anymore.

although with dragon age i do fucking love the different versions of morrigan...wooohhhh
