Hi everyone, I'm having a smallish problem and figured you could help!

Very simple, should i get Skyrim for PS3 or Xbox360?

I know 360 has DLC exclusive for the first 30 days, but PS3 will probably look better.

ANd no, -.- , i dont have a good enough PC

Iv only got a PS3 so can't really say but I would recommend you get it for whatever system you like the controller better for as you will probably be holding it for long periods of time.

I don't see any reason to think the PS3 version will look better. PS3 exclusives typically look better than 360 exclusives, but multiplatform games are usually a wash. Add to that the fact the Bethesda has been showing the game primarily on 360 leads me to believe that 360 was their lead platform for development, just as it was for Fallout 3 was. So basically, the games will probably be the same on each platform, and if you plan on getting DLC, go with the 360 version.

This.
They're catering to the 360 more than they have in the past, so it is likely to have a higher quality than the PS3 port.

I mean, you'll miss out on about 60% of the game by NOT getting it on the PC.

I don't personally own the PS3, in fact, I've an Xbox, but I think you should buy Skyrim for the Playstation for better performance.

I've only got a 360 as far as consoles go, so it's not really a decision keeping me up at night. But believer258 has it right; PC's the infinitely superior choice. Not only will it always look better, but TES has an insanely talented mod community, and modding TES is just so damn easy, not to mention enjoyable.

I only game on a laptop, so I've no chance of getting the most out of Skyrim on PC. But if I could, I wouldn't even consider getting a console version.

If you ever get a good enough PC, get it on that, but for now I guess it doesn't matter. Get it on whatever platform you feel.

Wait a minute, there's going to be DLC within the first thirty days? Stupid. Beyond that, the DLC is probably going to come out for PS3 eventually, so if you want to get it for PS3, just get it. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say there's probably going to be enough for you to do before you get bored and need DLC.
He/she means the Xbox 360 will have access to the first (and probably all) DLC for 30 days before the other platforms get it. The same as Black Ops.

I say Xbox 360. It seems they will port both the PS3 version and the PC version from it. Meaning it'll probably be a lot better.

If previous titles are anything to go by, the PS3 version will probably have more bugs and very slightly better graphics.

If you think the graphics are worth it, go ahead and get the PS version.

How about waiting for 3 or 4 days after release and then looking which version has more problems?
I'm gonna have to agree with this guy. Not on which system to get it on, but more on give it a few days to see which version has more bugs. FO:NV had a ton of bugs on both systems. I played it on my PS3 (I have a 360 also) and I believe the game froze only once. It seems that individual experiences may vary, so I'd recommend getting on the system you prefer. I'll prolly wait on the GOTY version myself, in hopes of bug fixes and all DLC included.

I'm getting it for PS3, but only because that's the only way my brother will pay for half of it. I'd rather get it for Xbox, simply for the controller.

Really though, they're basically identical. I just prefer the Xbox controller.

I'd go with PS3 if it's gonna look better. No real clue though, am a PC person.

Did you even bother to read the OP? It's four sentences, shouldn't be that much of problem. He specifically said that PC is not an option.

OT: I don't think it really matters all that much to be honest. I hear the cater a bit more to the 360, but I honestly don't think there's any meaningful difference between the platforms. Then again, if you want to be rather safe than sorry, don't get it first day and find out if one version is clearly inferior to another, because we can't really know that before release.

Apart from 360 getting DLC earlier I doubt there will be much difference between the 2 consoles performance wise.

Although, as people have stated, if you can wait a couple of days after it's released you will be able to see which one has the least issues and get it for that one.

To be honest i'm not clued up on console performance. I did have a 360 but gave it to my son a year ago and stuck to my PC. I have never owned a PS3 although I wanted one my missus said it would be a waste of money because i'd rarely use it.

So all I can say with any knowledge is get it on which ever one you prefer most.

Bar waiting and finding out which version has less bugs I can offer no real advice.

I won't plug the PC version mainly due to you saying you don't have a good enough machine and there isn't much point updating that just for Skyrim when a console can do the job minus mods.

If I did have to take a wild stab at which one version to get i'd have to say 360 though. You get the DLC earlier which may be an indication of getting patches earlier if the issues are that big.

If you can't run it on pc (for the mods) then 360. As people have said, it's been designed for the 360, then ported to the ps3.

I'm naturally more inclined towards a PS3 copy. Because, you know, that's the only console I have. I hope I helped you. :D
