So, some of us have a rather difficult choice coming up this weekend. Do we spend our hours slaying dragons and stealing the everything? Or do we spend it shoving our Force Lightning up some smug Jedi's ass? What would you do? Or what will you do?

Skyrim, due to the fact that it won't be a total let down.[footnote]probably[/footnote]

If I had to choose, SW:ToR. But I'm a big MMO and Bioware fan.

Luckily we live in this amazing world where we can actually do both!

So I'm first going to slay dragons and steal everything. Then shove force lightning up some smug Jedi's ass. Then slay krayt dragons and steal everything. Then shove magical lightning up some smug Nord's ass. And then I've still barely started!

On the last census (and the one before it) I put my religion down as Jedi. I own a custom-made lightsaber of my own design. I played Oblivion once for a few hours and was throughly bored.

Guess.

Probably Skyrim. Gonna rent it on PS3, then wait till I upgrade my PC before actually buying it.

As for TOR, not too interested in it, honestly.

Star Wars. Mostly because its a very rare chance to be part of the beta and to evaluate a large part of the game before purchase. Whereas with Skyrim, well, I'm, going to own it and know with past experiences in the TES series that I'll love it.

If it were a proper KotoR 3 instead of an MMO this would be a tough decision, but as it is the gameplay looks stale even by the standards of a few years ago, and I can't imagine smart consumers trusting EA enough to put time into the game or get attached to it for the long run.

Look at how every MMO in the last 5 years (or ever) gradually and eventually sells out to "appeal to a broader audience" while sneaking in more 'totally optional' real-money micro-transactions. With that being the genre standard coupled with EA running the show, there's no way I would consider playing it even though Bioware has put a record breaking amount of effort into it and KoTOR was one of my all time favorites, I still say "no way, EA."

Skyrim all the way. More races, more to do and, I only have to pay for it once. I can even play offline! I can't wait to hear the reviews for Old Republic and I can't wait for Karpyshyn's next book. Until then though, I'll be in Tamriel. Even if I did chose Old Republic though, I wouldn't be playing with others.

I'll be playing Skyrim, because I have enjoyed every Bethesda game I have played. Whereas, I only ever enjoyed KoToR 1, because it was the only good game BioWare ever made.

I say play the beta, primarily because Skyrim isn't going anywhere since you own it. And at least by playing the beta you can decide whether the game is really worth buying when it comes out. That's what I'm doing anyways.
