I always focus on my college work thank you very much, although in lessons I do seem to finish about three times as early than I usually do.....

I really want to like Skyrim, but I'm not sure I will. I'll play the game before I establish a complete opinion, but there are a couple of things that already don't like:
1) Pre-baked finishing moves. I find them unnecessary and I've hated them for a long time. In my opinion they break the flow of the combat by making you watch a 5-second cut-scene.
2) The interface:
-I find it a bit too much console-oriented
-I think that it doesn't quite fit the style of the in-game period. You see, for me the appearance of the words "Skill level increased", written in contemporary font absolutely shatters the immersion.
-Maybe it's just me, but the idea of looking at your equipment and rotating it in 3d seems a bit....gimmicky.
I hope this game will be good, but I'm prepared for the worst. We'll see.

To pass the time I've been playing a crap-ton of Space Marine and a little Dragon Age 2.

I have seen other games that look interesting but Skyrim is at the top of my list.

3) I played a bit of Oblivion last week, but then Uncharted 3 came out, so I played that. And the GTA 5 trailer gave me an urge to play GTA 4. Also I found my PS2 cables, so I plugged the bad boy back in and gave Devil May Cry 3 a spin.

I know I probably won't play anything but Skyrim for a couple weeks after release, so I'm getting all the urges out of my system before I get it.

Well, it's acted as a catalyst for me to get rid of the thief of time and brain cells known as COD. After a really shitty first half of the year for (360) games, things are really turning around atm. Am currently consumed by dark souls, but skyrim will make me its *****, oh yes.

I'm not really into the whole preordering thing. I probably won't get Skyrim till Christmas.

Doesn't mean I'm not excited for it though. I mean, it's not like I'm 12 year old me waiting for 11/11/11 like it's christmas morn. I dunno, maybe I'm just getting old lol.

I've played a ton of games in my time, and while I'm sure Skyrim will be amazing (the reason I'll be getting it), it is still just another game. It isn't really introducing anything revolutionary to the plate, but looks like a hell of a lot of fun.

I've been delving into Fallout 3 and Oblivion, two games I all but swore off because I had played them so extensively, in anticipation.

I'm sort of interested in the new AC and Uncharted, but my interest in those games is microscopic in comparison to Skyrim.
