I use to eat them when I was in grade school - I loved how you could just keep chewing on them and eventually all that would be left was this white-pulpy stuff that was super chewy (must have been fat and the casing).

Now, the thought of eating something that does that makes me throw up in my mouth a little bit. I still love jerky, but I buy the stuff from a local company and it's actual smoked meat (I shudder to think of what is/was in SlimJims now).

The only Slim Jim advert I've ever seem was when WWE used the wrestler Edge to promoted them during their Summer Slam pay per view event. I don't think we get Slim Jims in the UK.

I remember eating those years and years ago. They were fucking good. Can't eat them now because of my diet-thing though.

As for the ads, whatever gets the Escapist money I suppose (as long as it isn't porno/disgusting).

I have a slim jim every once in a while. As for the adds, I have firefox with addblocker, so that removes that problem.

I may have had the British equivalent (if there is one) but I've never even heard of Slim Jims.

the only experience I've ever had with Slim Jims is having to turn down the volume on my computer for 30 seconds before every Zero P video I watch

and I watch a lot of ZP vids
so I really hate Slim Jims

Well folks, the Slim Jim commercials are back, and they're still terrible.

As a point of curiosity, who here *actually* eats Slim Jims on a semi-regular basis? I can't imagine that overpriced meat-sticks have much of a following...

i still eat them, not all the time but some times

Slim Jims are terrible. Even by beefstick standards.

The only time I'll ever even consider eating a Slim Jim is during a gas station stop on a long road trip. And the last time I did, it was a greasy, stringy, flavorless, not worth the $1.50 I paid for it mass of dessicated God-knows-what.

Oberto and Jack Links do a lot better job of dried meat for the money, and that's not an opinion. It's a fact.
