Howdy, Escapoids. We all (should)love the beloved 90s band Smashing Pumpkins that were in that Simpsons episode. I want to know what your top 3 Smashing Pumpkins albums are.

I guess I'll start, it's a tricky one but my top 3 are as follows(ranking isn't necessary):

1. Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness
2. Oceania
3. Siamese Dream

And just for fun I'm adding a best Smashing Pumpkins album poll. There wasn't enough room to include Teargarden by Kaleidyscope, does it count as an album or what?

edit: not enough love for the Pumpkin on the escapist so far. Also, way too many(two is too many) people expecting Wallace, Gromit and squashes.

Damn... here, I wanted to talk about Wallace & Gromit... wondered where they did stuff with pumpkins, though I haven't seen all of Wallace's Cracking Contraptions etc.

Ah well, I am disappoint... DX

Dude, you should start an e-petition(that's what people do, right?) to get a Nick Park and Billy Corgan/Smashin Pumpkins collaboration going. Who knows maybe Billy Corgan is a big fan of Wallace & Gromit.

Have you posted this thread because of Yahtzee's latest Let's Play videos?? :D
Nope, I've never actually seen any of his lets plays(or any LPs).
Well in his latest ones, which is of an an adventure game from the 90s, he uses a clip of Bullet with Butterfly Wings in it. :)

Edit:

It's cool, funny. Yes I did just watch it for the Smashing Pumpkins clip. I'm disappointed that no one has actually contributed to the thread topic yet other than an obvious troll voting for Zeitgeist as the best album.

Huh...funny, I just finished acquiring Siamese Dream and Melon Collie etc and have listened to them for the first time in over a decade since I left my old collection of tapes in my parents attic.

I have to go for Siamese Dream, I think primarily primarily because it was a favourite of my girlfriend when it came out. *Sniff* excuse me, I have a rare nostalgic tear in my eye...

Then Melon Collie. Finally Machina.

Admittedly I've not heard anything post 2000.

I came here seeking an open and frank discussion about Wallace and Gromit and squashes. I leave disappointed :(

All I know about the Smushy Munchkins is that they had a Guitar Hero song (I think), were in an episode of the Simpsons and someone at my school was in to them big styley. I shall roll a die to determine their best album. *rolls* The Lady decrees Siamese Dream to be the best! So shall it be written, so shall it be done.

1. Mellon Collie and the infinite sadness
2. Siamese Dream
3. Adore

I couldn't comment on any of the albums past Machina, I hear Oceania's quite good though.

To tell the truth Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness is the only one I really remember, I have some of the other ones but I can't remember them, I'm more of a song person anyway and I haven't listened to them in a while.
