I like this thread. Not only are the spelling errors present in the poll, but a grammatical error makes its way to the surface in a sentence consisting of only 14 words.

Also the fact that your introduction(And entire thread) consists of only those very 14 words.

I smoke sometimes, not on a dialy basis but I'll do somewhere between 15 and 40 cigarettes at one party, if I'm able to; If I can get to a store from the party, that is.
Ironic typo is ironic.

I hate it when that happens!

Great grandma- smoked 1-2 packs per day since forever, and died at 86 of hip fracture complications. No COPD, didn't even have a respectable smoker's hack.

Dear Ol Dad- 1 pack per day since forever, 65 years old, and must have an oxygen tank at all times, or he goes hypoxic. He's a classic COPD.

There's nothing good to be said about smoking American tobacco, but the non-COPD, non-lung cancer, career smokers like my great grandma mystify me. Talk about defying the odds- we should've had her buy lotto tickets.

I do not smoke, never tried, never will. My mom does though, as well as several of my aunts. And of course plenty of mates. I still occasionally tell them how stupid they are. Doesn't help though.

I used to; quite a bit actually.

I still like to have an occasional cig but I don't smoke everyday anymore.

Many say there isn't a difference but there really is; especially when you stop coughing up big brown globs of goo and start coughing up big clear globs of goo. The other difference is that I actually enjoy it now, as long as it's a good quality smoke or at least something without the additives. You really start to taste them when you don't smoke everyday. I can't stand Marb Light or (what used to be my personal favorites) Capri anymore.

I thought the poll was about smoking something else but since it isn't, I'll just leave it at that.

I dont smoke, and I probably never will, but i have always thought that if i ever did, i would smoke cigars. From what i know they have a better smell. Plus you dont breathe the smoke in the same way one would with a cigarette. Plus i wouldn't do it often, It would be something i would do on like a special occasion.

I'm a pipe smoker. I'm not addicted to nicotine because I smoke with pleasure and it's a hobby, and I'm talking specifically about pipe smoking. I occasionally smoke cigarettes when I go out or I'm with people who all smoke, but I don't enjoy it that much. A reason for this is probably because I don't inhale, I just like the feeling and taste of pipe tobacco.

I'm 21 and I smoke a pipe, does no one else?
I do. It's quite hard to find a pipe smoker these days, especially this young. Tomorrow it's the International Pipe Smokers Day by the way. :) http://www.ipsd.eu/

Maybe I would if it had anything to offer except cancer, heart disease and damage to every organ in the body.

I only smoke when going out and drinking a beer, which is usually one day a week, on a weekend. So I guess I'm not addicted, because I can go on forever without smoking. But for some reason, my brain is wired to have a cigarette when I'm having a drink. As soon as I have a sip of alcohol, I want to have a smoke too.

I'd like to quit it, because I feel like shit on the next day. But it's some kind of ritual that has burnt itself into my mind.

I started 2-3 years ago. I still enjoy it, lots of my friends in the 17-25 age group smoke, and all but a few do it occationally.

Smoking makes you cool. Believe it.

Seriously though, I'm hoping that some sort of technology will be created that will clean out my lungs for me at some stage.

So no worries.

To inexactly quote Ricky Bobby - "I think with today's technology and my income I can safely assume I'll live to at least 150"

Sadly yes, i am a smoker, i like many others thought it would make me really cool back when i was 13-14 and i got hooked on it and havent been able to stop yet, im 19 now and i would pretty much do anything to go back in time and stop that dumbass kid (me) from doing it, but alas, there isnt much to do, i hope i will be able to stop sooner or later but at this point in my life i dont have the mental strength to stop smoking.

I go through two lighters a day.

Seriously, though, it helps me relieve a lot of tension so I smoke from time to time.

I never started and I am glad for it. I hate the idea of screwed up lungs and possible cancer. Not to all the other negatives that is could bring. People who smoke cigarettes are crazy.

I enjoy smoking because you get to bond with other smokers when you're outside in the cold, shunned by society. I have a friend who took up smoking just to meet people in his industry at some kind of conference, and now he's cutting and editing forthcoming Seinfeld DVDs (because of a conversation he struck up outside).
