For long gaming sessions, I usually chill with a few cans/bottles of cider. I don't usually play super-intensive games, and it's nice to just kick back in the evening with a nice drink.

I eat carrots, grapes, celery, and drink iced tea if I'm going to snack while playing a game.

Usually though I don't do it at all. I'll pause, then go sit down and prepare something. Usually I just eat small bland meals, it's easier on my stomach. Also helps with staying in shape.

Correct! The follow up question though is what do you put in it?

My Dad always drinks it with milk because he's an idiot and treats it like the filthy peasant tea that everyone else drinks

Beer, diet coke or otherwise tea is all I need for longer gaming sessions.
Snacking is something I hardly do these days.

Oh, well it's definitely gotta be something with cheese. Bonus points for cheesy fries. And yes, the cheese has to be melted. Woe unto you if you have it any other way.

Beer would just go right through me and dull my senses something phenomenal.

Crisp bread with diverse toppings, grapes, small tomatoes. horribly healthy stuff actually. All in the range of no sticky fingers quickly stuff in mouth to keep hands free.

Drinks tons of black coffee and water. sometimes during long marathons diet sodas and beer.

Really long marathon gaming sessions get a proper preparation, home cooked pasta sauces, or a nice pulled pork sandwich. (it's easy to BBQ a pulled pork for 12+ hours during gaming)

If I am on a major gaming binge, I settle for nothing less than tea and biscuits.

No nasty flavoured energy drink or coffee for me. I'm British and I'm proud of it, sir! :p

Usually I have a bottle of 7UP I can drink from whenever I need it. As for food if I'm hungry I'll stop playing so I can get something to eat.

Aww...I did come in here expecting to sing the praises of that temporary Mountain Dew flavor.

Iunno, when I get into long gaming sessions is when I forget to eat entirely. Unless you count soda as "energy drinks."

This probably sounds weird, but I've gotten in the habit of using my computer exhaust to warm the cheese of the week to just over room temperature. Once it gets there I usually take a break to enjoy my snack - it was stilton last week, haven't picked anything for this week but I'm feeling runny brie.

As for drinks, its either decaf, rooibos, or diet coke. I've tried to leave booz behind when playing games, although I might enjoy a drop of something with my snack.

I don't have really long game sessions frequently, but when I do, my wife may throw something together and bring it into the office for me. Didn't see an option for that...

Apologies, but your Dad is indeed a peasant.

Nothing more to go along with it other than 1.1/2 teaspoons of sugar for me.

The day's I have free when I game, I usually play a bit, have some lunch (normally a bacon sandwich these days) and go back to playing for a bit, probably with a coke or water next to me and maybe some snacks that I have bought at some point.

Nothing... because I feed on the metaphorical victories and/or accomplishments that are presented in the game in question... Besides, I'm too immersed to break said immersion otherwise I might end up like DiCaprio's wife or some shit like that...

Other than that, even if I was eating something because I wasn't gaming alone, for example, there would be nothing either liquid or solid[footnote]Because we stopped using "gas" because all it did was make us more hungry and shit...[/footnote] that would be exclusive to just consuming in these kinds of situations...

I just eat boring regular meals, snacking & gaming is a hassle. I do like to have some green tea on hand though.

I actually kinda liked the Mountain Dew "Gamer Fuel" flavor... specifically the cherry one, since there's like a half dozen of them now. I don't really drink much soda anymore these days, but if I see the cherry "Gamer Fuel" in stores I'll pick up a pack.

Anywho...

I usually just have a glass of ice water at my desk, and if I'm in the mood for a snack I usually just have some chips and salsa. From time to time I'll have unsalted almonds instead of salsa, depending on the mood I'm in.
