I don't think I've ever had an advertisement that has either made me want to buy a product, or dissuaded me from wanting to buy a product.

Pretty much every laundry detergent commercial. They are always SO bad, the only laundry detergent I buy is the house brand from Lidl. It's cheap, cleans perfectly and Lidl doesn't have any horrible voice-over commercials with every single commercial break.

Do you mean the "It will make your mum cry." ad? Because I still think that was pretty funny and everyone forgot about it like 2 days after it first aired.
If you want to see an ad that is truly insulting to gamers as a whole, go take a look at that 5 minute WiiU ad that was released a while ago.

The Nintendo Wii and DS commercials are all atrocious. I see no reason why the Wii U would be any different. It's like Nintendo just does not get their target audience at all.
