I like my steak well done simply because it reduces the chances of getting sick from it. I'm the same with all of my foods in that I want them practically burnt. I don't losing a bit of flavor if it prevents food poisoning.

I like mine Medium Well (or M. Well which only reminds me of the Beatle's song Maxwell's Silverhammer) because well done just tastes like charcoal and Medium doesn't taste cooked enough. Could just be me. :)

Somewhere above medium I guess, and if anybody makes a pretentious whine about it (I know people asshats IRL who act as if i'm directly insulting them) then I will spit in his meal to make sure it's juicy enough for him too.

It's one of those things that stupid people feel vindicated in telling you what is wrong and what is right, I don't make a fuss about what anybody eats unless it's marmite and they're so close the smell is making me throw up, and I damn well expect the same courtesy >_>.

I like my steak Medium rare - Medium , too much blood and it puts me off, but too cooked and then it gets all chewy.

Ladies and gentleman: Philadelphia Cheese steak.

Along with cheese fries of course.

That looks so horrible, that it's actually appetising...

That is the definition of delicious right there.

Though there is a serious price difference between these two meals.
Oh. My. God. I've already had one yummy fillet steak tonight, and you've made me hungry for steak again!

Mmmm... All that red...

"When I put this steak in my mouth, my brain is telling me that it is juicy and delicious."
Medium. Pink in the middle, nice and juicy.

I like mine Medium. Nicely cooked on the outside, hot throughout and a line of pink through the middle. I think what you have with it is important too. A plain steak with no sauce or seasoning I like a little more well done, that way I can go at it and it's tough, gives me something to chew on. A good sauce with a good wine requires a more tender, juicy meat to go with it.

Medium-well. It's a holdover from when I had braces, and now I just like it better that way.

medium rare, easily.

not too spongy, and yet not too tough, still juicy. just right :)

as a side note im a chef, and i see people ordering well dones all the time, it actually annoys me that they spend lots of money for burnt meat, it doesnt seem right...

It really depends on the steak. Generally I'll aim for medium/medium-well, but if the steakhouse is good, I'll go for well-done.
