I worked in a game shop in the run up to Christmas. I got a 10% discount. As well as a lot of free gubbins, I ended up with *deep breath*
Mario Kart (Wii), Orange Box, Burnout Paradise, Lips, Guitar Hero 3, Guitar Hero: World Tour, C.O.D. 5, Gears 2, Fallout 3, Fable 2, FaceBreaker, Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway (all X360), Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorny and Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time(DS).

In my defence, they weren't all for me (5 little brothers!). Anyone else out there either swimming in disposable income or have rich, stupid parents?

Fallout and Left 4 Dead.

Getting Mirror's edge, Empire: Total war, and CoD5 no the 18th. My presents get split between my Birthday and Christmas.

It's a hard, hard life.

Why did they buy you Guitar Hero 3 and then Guitar Hero: World Tour?

More songs. Got the Solo Guitar World Tour pack, and bought Guitar Hero 3 preowned.

Haven't bought many games of late... trying to write a paper... currently procrastinating! Once finished I'll lock myself in a room and complete Fallout 3 and Far Cry 2, SO looking forward to it.

Hah, I'm not rich my any measure... but I still buy games. I tend to keep them behind my desk so everyday I'm reminded by the amount of cash I've thrown at games. On the one hand I feel quite proud, on the other I think of all the women I could of taken out to dinner.

The sacrifices one makes for their hobby eh?

I had two,
Fallout 3 and Valkyria Chronicles.

I dont see the point in getting loads at one time where as I could complete these two then buy another game when they drop in price a bit.

i didn't get any, probably because there aren't any i want
I thought 2008 was an excellent vintage, from an Xbox perspective anyway. Not one teensy-weensy little game? Poor fecker...

0, but then again, I didn't ask for any since I'm happy with what I have already. I would like to play Fallout 3, but I can wait.

Bioshock. X-Men Legends 2. City of Heroes and City of Villains combined edition.

Would buy Psychonauts or Stalker, but I'm not going to waste my cash on overpriced Steam.

This was a poor year for me (in gaming). I got 3 games, as opposed to last year when I got 8! It's just that there were not many titles that I found appealing this year...

I bought for myself 42 games over the Christmas period. ;>.>
These are all all games I know I'll enjoy and paid in total less than £60 for, but looking at the pile of games I've yet to start (Baldur's Gate 1&2 with expansions, Neverwinter Nights with expantions, KOTOR, Fallout 1&2, Elder Scrolls 1-4, etc.) it will be a long time before I get a chance to play them.

I, uh, got...uhm...a JRPG. The Last Remnant. Not a big fan of jrpg's, too damn confusing.
Lost Odyssey for the Xbox 360 has 4 discs. 'Nuff said. At least in Fable 2 you can fart at people, and you can choose wheher or not to have ridiculous hair./

I wasn't given any, but then my parents have no clue what games I will or will not like, so they go with the safer option of books and socks. Also I have a large disposable income, and buy whatever game I can be bothered going and picking up (incedently, I own very few games and have a large sum of "game" money sitting ony my desk).
