Poll: So, what does it truly mean?

My friend and I got into a bit of an argument the other day about what exactly "FTW" means. I've heard two meanings, but she's only heard one and, well, we started to "discuss" it. Sorta.

So, what exactly does "FTW" mean?

I have heard it mean both "fuck the what" and "for the win." She has only heard of it as "fuck the what."

So, am I just confused about the latter one or do people use it like that too?

It's "for the win". I've never heard "fuck the what?" before, but if I were to put my money down as to how it came about, I'd guess it was someone who heard "FTW," didn't know what it meant, and took a bad guess.

Fuck the what doesn't even make sense. In that instance you're looking for Whiksey Tango Foxtrot, FTW always means For the Win, if I heard otherwise, I'd be confused.

I've heard it as mostly for the win, occasionally fuck the world and never have I heard it as fuck the what.

Depending on the context it can mean both, if you want to say something is awesome it means "for the win." If you want to say that you're really goddamn confused, it means "fuck the what." To differenciate put a question mark behind it when you want the latter, and an exclaimation point when you want the former.

BTW, the BOTH option is broken.
