Imagine you just survived the zombie invasion. By that,I mean you kinda did. You managed to get to get to the "Land of the dead" stage of the zombie invasion. There is still a bloody load of zombies, but at least, you are sorta safe and sound.

Would normality ever return after that?

I don't think so.

If humanity were to survive, life would eventually return to normal. After all, it has done so after every major war.
Yeah.

After every major war.

I think of it as the worst infection ever.

Well technically if post zombie attack life becomes commonplace then it would be considered normal.
Not like our lives today were "normal" pre-Gilded Age

yay semantics

One day, perhaps. But there'd be less people.

Presuming only Britain gets infected, we'd probably be quarantined and then the UN would blast in to help us.

I have a plan, but since I live in australia it relies on the army base about 10 minutes from my house on being nice, (I'll bring lot's of nice food to soften them up)

Read Max Brooks, "World War Z". It has a very good perspective on this. I would say yes, itt would go back to normal, but would forever have a profound impact on development, culture, and historical identity.

"Normality" as in "exactly the same as it was before the plague"? No, that's very unlikely. But "normality" as in "a new status quo sets in and people go about their daily business again in stead of worrying about zombies all the time"? Sure, I don't see why not.

We would, eventually. But it wouldn't be an over night thing. Years of reproduction and zombie hunting would have to take place.

Depends. Are these zombies killable? As in, if I blow one's head off, will it lie in a bloody heap on the ground and not get up again?

If so, then yeah. Eventually, after a long enough period of time, the zombies will all be killed. It may take a really freaking long time of people shooting them and them eating each other when their normal food source (live people) runs out, but they will eventually die out. Once that happens, it should be easy enough to dispose of all the bodies (yay fire), clean away the blood, and start again. You have to be absolutely sure that every last zombie is dead first though, as well as any source that can transmit the zombie condition to others.

Eventually, the zombie epidemic would be added to the history books right alongside the black death, and people will carry on with their lives not really worrying about zombies anymore.

I voted yes, for the sole reason that eventually, life after the zompocalypse will become the normal. It stands to reason that one, maybe two generations later, the children will know no life without zombies. So if it happened tomorrow, would it return to normal for us? No, I don't think so. Would life be "normal" for my grandkids, should I ever have any? Yes, in it's own way. Have I though about this maybe a touch longer than necessary? Yeah, probably.

Why would you need a ticket to Madagascar?

Airlines can survie the zombie apocolypse and still operate as a business but they cant float through an economic downturn? That doesnt seem right, it doesnt add up.

Eventually everything goes back to normal, or atleast a new normal is established. If there were some human survivors till the last zombie died (again), the society that we knew will most likely never come back but a new one will be established that can be considered "normal". If the zombies kill every last human, then eventually the planet will recover once the last zombie dies and a new dominant species will arise.

P.S do i get a cookie if im correct that your mentioning of Madagascar in the poll is a reference to pandemic 2 and how hard Madagascar is to get?

I dont think they would... they would certainly "blast" something but it wouldnt be "in to help us".

Then they would immigrate all of the most British sounding people to take our place as though Britain never left... because a world without Britain isnt a world I want to live in... and coincidentally couldnt.

We will return to normality, when we find out what it's like.

So, no i don't think so. The survivors would be scarred for life, like vietnam vets. Also, if the threat of another one isn't impossible, that would be another thing the gov't would have to write out a standard survival guide.
