I was just wondering as many Escapists seem to be playing Skyrim ATM and there's been very little mention of SR:TT on here. If you have what do you think of it? Is it what you were expecting? And if you haven't are you thinking about getting it?

I want it, but the UK doesn't seem to have been graced with it on Steam. I'll probably wait till Christmas to get it.

It is the best in the series by far.
So wacky, and so fun.
Definitely. The only thing I'm kind of disappointed in is the clothing customisation is a bit lacking compared to SR2. That's just a small nitpick though. The rest of the game is amazing.

It's straight up stupidly hilarious! Seriously. The game itself is just fun and wacky, but if you get yourself a co-op partner and got some imagination, you can just multiply the fun by thousand.

I always thought of Saint's Row as the over the top and crazy version of GTA. I wasn't disappointed with this one. It's just as fun and crazy as I expected it to be. It's one of those games I can mess around in for hours and not accomplish anything.

Don't have it, a friend has. It's really fun and awesome... In the first couple of hours. It gets really boring really fast. Hard to die, especially in the aircraft.

Got it. Beat it. Love it.

I did my first run "seriously". A normal looking human being with serious clothes, no cheat codes. Still, as fun as it was to play Shotgun McBritish, I'm now beginning my second run, a completely silly character (Silverbeard, The British Steampunk Luchadore!) with cheat codes and doing all the opposite choices. And then I'll probably do a co-op run after that.

It's one of the best games I have ever played. Have you tried the RC possessor yet? You can take over any car you want with it then get away with running over pedestrians because they don't even know it's you. And the upgrades make it so you can possess tanks and make the vehicles self destruct. It's the best weapon I have ever played with. Also, I have a bike and a tank from the cyberspace realm and I also have a cyber blaster.

I do miss taxis though. Those were convenient.

But I do believe that the only way they could make it better is adding in a japanese style giant robot.

I always do it the opposite way. I ran around as a blue haired Russian goth with all the cheat codes so I could unlock everything for co-op, then I'll go back and do it seriously later on.

I preordered it and I fucking love it! I've been trying convince a friend of mine to get it since he likes GTA so we play the Co-op

But, there are two nitpicks I can make and the first 1 is like everyone and their dog has said before is that the clothing possibilities are lacking (But who the fuck uses clothes, it's Saint's Row damn it!)

Secondly, I'm dissapointed with the music selection in the game especially the metal station since it didn't have anything I liked

Other than that though, it's probably gonna be my personal GOTY, and if you ever felt that GTA was lacking in the "fucking around in the big city" department then this is the game for you

Does it have local co-op? I remember in an interview a developer said full local and online co-op availability , but Cooptimus says otherwise.

Does anyone else like to fly around the city and rain down hell in a VTOL fighter on random civillians for existing? :D

As someone else said before, the only thing that disappointed me was the clothing customization. Going from being able to purchase individual clothing articles in LAYERS for each part of the body in SR2 allowed for insane levels of customization to the more "costume" focused customization found in SR3 made me sad. I've still been able to create some badass/silly outfits, but I felt like SR2 offered many, many, many more options for meticulously tricking out the most outrageous or coolest-looking outfits, with only your imagination being the limit.

Other than that, the game is C-5 Galaxies worth of fun, and definitely the best entry in the series overall, even despite my somewhat significant gripe about clothing. The weapons, new vehicles, more hilarious story/writing and overall wackiness and entertainment value more than make up for it.

I want it, but I don't have any money, so I'm waiting on my next paycheck to buy it from Onlive for a dollar. Played the trial and I thought it was pretty badass. The big head thing threw me for a loop.
