Hard crunchy cookies are the shit, THE SHIT.
I like soft cookies too, but not too soft. The best kind of cookie is the kind where you can bite a piece off from the rest of the cookie easily and have it crunch in your mouth a bit before you swallow. I gave probably way over thought this.

Soft. And hot. Seriously, like, fresh out of the oven. I don't care if I have to eat the damn things with a fork, soft, hot and moist are how I like my cookies.

Chewy FTW, more specifically Samoas from the Girl Scouts, best cookie ever.

Interesting choices everyone...

I like to see people's preferences on random topics! :)

Also, I am so happy my title was sooo misleading.

I really, really hate soft/chewy cookies. They taste unbaked too me. It's like eating a raw steak, although I like rare steak but that's beside the point.

I think it comes from being raised on hard cookies all my life; it could be a Swiss/Germanic tradition to have hard ones.

EW!

That's what my hard cookies taste like when they've been out too long!

If fresh - Doesn't matter. Although a crispy outside and a warm, chewy inside is great.

If not fresh - Must be frozen for maximum enjoyment.

I love frozen cookies.

The huge chewy chocolate ones you get from Woolies, they're the best.
First, what is Woolies?

Second, your avatar made my eyes quit from frustration.
Short for Woolworths, an Australian grocery store. Oh and yes, my avatar is fucked.

I like em both. Soft cookies mean that they're fresh, and hard cookies means that they're ready for dunking in milk!

A cookie should be crispy on the outside, with just enough softness and chewiness to make it so it's not like a rock.
