So i was playing a SC2 custom map, Colonial Line Wars. Its simple 3vs3 1 lane for each one of the team. So playing as a regular person i started building on my lane. Then my "teammates" sad i was a fail and a dumbass for not playing "right" (they were building together n the same lane.

So in turn (being the ass that i am) destroyed my own buildings and told the other team what my "teams" strategy. After i did that the guys on my team said "We are getting you banned." "We are going to save this replay and send it the the moderators." etc. etc. etc.

So my question is:

have you ever dealt with anyone like this?

Meh I would not have flipped on your bad team. Should have held to your own play style win or lose. Bad team or not flipping is frowned upon. Getting banned for it isn't going to happen though. I say learn from mistakes and take others success and build upon your own.

In DoTa.

Eden for every annoyed, hormone-frustrated, mid-puperty and better-knowing teenagers, that have little else to do on a Friday night. In ALL seriousness.

Your response was neither justifiable nor dumb, it is a mixture of the two.

Well, I think it's justifiable. I mean, sure, it's a game, but who are they to tell you that what you're doing is wrong? You showed them the value of teamwork is all. I think you taught them a good lesson that they will carry with them for some time.

Also, if you do get banned, I have lost what little faith in humanity I have left. XD

the internet is full of douche and arsehole and wankers and arseholes and rude areseholes and people who want you to follow their own made up rules.

like in a fps like cod. apparently camping is bad and so is using a grenade launcher. if you break any of these made up rules you will be swore at till you leave the server.

Wait... You played the game wrong, you were called out for it, then instead of playing it correctly, you made your team lose in angsty rage? Cool.

My friend and I are always called noobs when we beat the enemy team in 2v2 Starcraft II with a double 7-pool. It's hilarious.

No, they played it differently. i played it like how it was made to be played.
They were being a-holes cause i didn't play it like them.

Hm. Well if they were legitimately being assholes, then they got what's coming to them.

Apparently, originality in strategy is "noobish" nowadays and that the only way to play the game is to play in one set fashion. (case in point, MW2's quickscoping.)

Don't worry, really, find the good people in the game, and use the friend system to join their games, it's what its made for.

Blizzard's games are all like this. Play something that still considers itself a game, rather than an e-sport.
