This is a pretty simple question really; do you feel that there is anywhere that you truely belong.

I personally don't really have anywhere. I'd say my immediate family are all pretty close, but I feel quite different to all of them; to sum up, the other day my Dad said to me, "I really don't understand you sometimes". I have 4 close friends but none of them are what I would class a best friend, they all perform slightly different roles (i.e. I speak to one about music, one about general life, one about superficial things and 'the world' and the other about serious stuff), but I don't feel confident that we will be 'friends forever!'. Even when I did have a best friend I still felt quite 'apart' from him.

Guess the nearest place is on here, but that's only really because of the anonimity, and the fact that you can say near enough anything (except from extremely controversial views) and due to that anonimity everyone's in the same boat and you feel safe. Like I'm not sure if I'd speak to anyone I knew about the above. Though I definitely didnt get a sense of belonging in RL, so this isn't exactly somewhere I feel that I belong either :S

I actually feel like I belong here, in Tennessee. Granted, it's certainly not because of anyone specific (but I do have good friends here), it's because this is my home, and I'm attached to it. I hate vacations longer than a few days, and I just love the area around here. I don't plan to ever leave, unless some kind of apocalypse forces me to leave the area.

Nope. My hometown felt too small, this city I'm living in now feels too small, I think I need a planet to myself or something.

I don't really feel like there is a place I truly belong, and sometimes I wonder if anyone does. I have many close friends but there's always some kind of catch that keeps them from being my "best friend". Also, I have lots of friends around my school spanning all of the social cliques, and yet I fit into none making me feel like an outsider in a way. Oh well, we're all born alone and all die alone, so Live and Let Die [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JK2hKzZss5Y] I suppose.

No, I don't belong. I'm the guy who ends up sitting in the corner at a party wondering why he bothered coming. I'm naturally distant from people, I try not to be but then I just get awkward because I'm forcing myself against my nature.

Not really. I don't know, I get on with everyone I know well enough and I share interests with all of my friends and I love my family etc. but I personally don't think I fit with my life. I'm not really content in my existence.

Actually a better way of putting this would be that I wouldn't have a problem with leaving what I have behind much.

I suppose where I'm living right now but that's more of a conveniance thing than anything. I mean it would be kinda hard to move out and go somewhere else as I havn't even finished high school yet. Though as a temporary thing I do feel very at home at metal concerts :D

I feel pretty at home in my hometown or a library. Socially I'm pretty easy to get along but I tend to keep people at an arms length when it comes to more personal issues and I only have a handful of friends I feel close enough to to talk about anything personal.

I haven't really lived anywhere for longer than a few years (heck the country I've lived in longest is England and that's only been like ten years or so) and aside from my parents, don't really have more than a few people that I've known longer than that as I'm generally quite awful at maintaining contacts. So I've really never gotten a feeling of belonging out of any place.

Alongside my fallen brethren in the Halls of Valhalla, drinking and toasting and feasting until Ragnarok.

Don't judge me because my life is slightly more interesting than your own. Not all of us get to pal around with deities all the time, you know?

In terms of belonging in a place: No, I'm a wanderer by heart, I like moving from place to place, I definitely do not belong in Gloucestershire.

In terms of friends: I belong with the outcasts and the geeks, the arty types and the strange flighty types. I don't have a group of friends like that but I know I will someday.

No, I don't feel there is some where I belong because I fit in every exactally the same. I have been all over America and most places feel exactally the same.
