Assuming your "Classical" category is the usual broad-term for all um... RenaissanceBaroqueClassicalRomanticImpressionistContemporary music, it's definitely the best. Haha. With so many sub-genres, how do you go wrong? The only way you could hate it is if you didn't understand the architecture (or increasingly, the lack thereof <3).

If your talking JUST about lyrics, then I'd say metal or alternative.
If your talking about the music itself - there is no 'best' music genre.
I love metal, but that doesn't make it TEH BEST to me, i just like it.

I like the music, because it doesn't feel as pretentious as pop is.

He was talking about the lyrics... I love metal and it's one of my favorite genres, but honestly some of the lyrics are pretty dumb.

It's funny how many people are saying there is no best genre. Metal is the best genre. There's just no best SUB-genre.

I quite like Hurracaine by Bob Dylan just for the story and 'Changes' by Tupac because it's refreshing to hear rap about getting along rather than boasting and violence.
