Poll: Sonic or Mario

Im Split.

I like more mario games than i do Sonic Games.

But i believe that Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 beat any Mario game. Well there my favourites anyway.

Mario. They both have had a ton of sell-out games, party games, and gimmick games. But Mario never had a billion friends I don't care about that I was forced to play as to complete a main game in the series.

Back in the 90's... definitely Sonic without a doubt.

Sonic 2 was to a Sonic fanboy like myself, what SMB3 is to everyone else.

I never really liked Sonic, in fact I hate Sonic and I was hated him since I first time saw him. But I like Mario, it reminds me of great time in my childhood, I am still playing original Mario Bros emulation, so my choise is obviusly Mario.

I'll vote for Sonic though, just because its funny and I never played a Mario game.

Mario, without a doubt.

Sonic would win in a fight though. Unless Mario had Yoshi or a projectile attack (not a one use thing like a shell, but maybe that would work if Sonic had no rings).

I think nostalgia has a lot to do with this, and even though Mario is still alive with mediocre games and Sonic needs to be shot in the face before he embarrasses himself any further, I'd still say Sonic, I had a Sega not a NES.
